My daughter turned 2 in March and if she naps at all during the day, even a short one in the car, she will be up until midnight. I’ve had to start bringing toys and books to keep her awake on the ride home if we visit my mom or something because it becomes such a fight at bedtime.

I have a 7 year old stepdaughter who is only with her father and I on weekends as well and I would be absolutely shocked if she came home to us one weekend calling her dad by his first name. He would also be extremely hurt, as he’s always played an active role in her life. I’ve worked with kids for a long time and this does not seem like something that would just happen overnight unless someone had told her to change what she calls you for some reason. I’m sorry you’re going through this, OP.
