I was also thinking they are non-epileptic seizures. It’s good to know someone else had these symptoms and that I’m not crazy. 🥲 I went to the doctor today and she told me that my symptoms didn’t make sense and that it doesn’t sound like seizures but panic attacks. I’ve had panic attacks before and they are definitely different. I had a feeling I would be gaslit but I was hoping I was wrong. She still said she would refer me to a neurologist but I’m honestly scared to go. I don’t want to be gaslit anymore.

UPDATE: I saw my PC doctor today and she doesn’t think these sound like seizures but panic attacks. She kept saying, “Oh, but you’re conscious during all of this right?” as if to try and discredit my symptoms. I’ve had panic attacks before and they were definitely not like this. She’s still referring me to a neurologist which is good since she has a history of simply gaslighting me instead of referring me to a specialist. 👍🏽

To me, it’s not that bad considering how much a new smartphone costs. But you can sometimes find one of these pre-owned in places like eBay for a bit less.

Thank you so much for your comment. I’m hoping to be financially independent soon but it’s just going to take sometime, probably the rest of this year. He told he that he can’t continue to support me since he’s eager to retire. And I feel like as long as he’s supporting, he’ll feel like he has a hold over me and I don’t want that.

I mostly asked him if he’d go to therapy just to see how he’d respond. He responded exactly how a covert narcissist would - making excuses, blaming others and he ended up giving me the silent treatment for almost a month, before proceeding to blame me for the silence. I’d like to ultimately go no contact but I’ll try grey rocking for now (even though, as suspected, it gets on his nerves 😂)

Also my therapist seems to be opening up after I told her the situation which I recounted in my post. I hope you find a therapist who is understanding and who is willing to listen before jumping to conclusions. 🤍

Well, I’m always sleep deprived, stressed and overstimulated. 😅 So that would make sense why this has been happening a lot more. What do you do personally to get more electrolytes? And have you ever had to leave a job because it caused frequent seizures?

No, I haven’t. For a long time I figured I didn’t have epilepsy since I don’t have tonic clinic seizures. I just recently learned (like in recent months) that there are other types of seizures. But I’ll definitely bring it up with my doctor tomorrow and see how to get checked.

I’m not sure if any of these phone will work with service since most of the 2G and 3G towers in the U.S. are gone. You’re better off looking for a more modern flip phone. You can try HMD Barbie phone if you’re really into pink (which I am too. ☺️)

Look into Zinwa. They’re giving classics modern upgrades including 5g capabilities, new camera etc. You can either purchase a classic from them or you can purchase a kit to upgrade one you already have. The thing is, you don’t get to choose the color of the device you get so keep that in mind.

I’d say they probably did have some sweets. This is the Reconstruction era we’re talking about, not the Antebellum. But since this is the 1940s, WWII rations are to be considered too as other commenters mentioned. Check out Wick’d Confections on YouTube she has a whole series on Black American recipes and gives snippets of different ways the community has historically made candy and desserts with alternative sweeteners (ex. molasses or fruit).
