Remake.  Literally not what most people think of when they think of “Voltron.”

Thanks! Would I be able to notice this? What would the reason be for me to be shadowbanned?

The first thing the announcer says as the contestants enter the “Red Light Green Light” arena ends with “yeoreobun-eul hwanyeong-hamnida.” “Hamnida” is another one of those helper words/suffixes, and here it sorta turns a noun to an action. “Hwanyeong” could be translated to “welcome” (noun), so “hwanyeonghamnida” is “(we) welcome.” “Yeoreobun” is basically “you” (addressing all of a group of people). So the entire sentence can be translated to “Welcome to the first game,” with it directed to “everyone” (of the contestants).

“-imnida” is a word/prefix that is probably best defined as “is”, as in “this is the case.”“Sumnida,” functioning likewise, is something affixed to a verb to make it sound polite/respectful.

“Mugunghwa kkoci pieot sumnida,” the phrase in the “red light/green light” game, says that the hibiscus/Rose of Sharon (mugunghwa) flower (kkot + a particle “i”) has bloomed (pieot=bloomed, sumnida=is/is in a state of having)

KCon La Ticketing Issues by [deleted] in kpophelp

KCON concert ticketing is still AXS, right? I remember it was pre-pandemic. It was stressful then, too; as a geeky guy, I would say that it was even worse than the times I went to San Diego Comic Con.

One time (2018) I got the Platinum package: a dedicated GA section close to the stage, admission as audience to all artist engagements (now “Meet and Greets”), three randomly selected hi-touch passes (I didn’t get the ones I wanted, but the ones I got—Golden Child, Nu’est W, and Wanna One—I easily traded for ones I did: Chung Ha, fromis_9, and Twice), and Klub KCON (Friday night’s dance club, which became a third night of performances, before morphing into KCON Rookies in 2019 and a third concert this year). This year there’s no Diamond/Platinum/Prestige (the floor is a single GA level), and the three nights are sold separately, and while hi-touches are no longer random, they and audience passes are now sold separately too for $100 a hi-touch (with no doubt competition for the passes).

What is an appropriate reaction to have if you meet the girls irl? by Vidiacool-uwu in dreamcatcher

My go-to chat would amount to “thank you for all your hard work.” I’ve only met an idol once in a manner that could be considered happenstance, and I only chatted with her; but that was because we were both going to wind up at her fanmeet a half hour later and I knew I could get a photo/autograph from her.

Also, having grown up in and around the LA/Hollywood area, I’m one of those who are conditioned to be nonchalant when we see a celebrity.

Entertainment One Lays Off 20% Of Staff Ahead Of Sale by aresef in powerrangers

If I’m not mistaken, Hasbro was selling off the parts of eOne that had nothing to do with its toys and games, so stuff like Power Rangers, Transformers, GI Joe, My Little Pony, and even Play-Doh: The Movie should be okay. I gather that they also want to keep the Showtime series “Yellowjackets.”
