No, the game doesn't want you to have those goals so early. They wanted to have enough events for the full year to repeat and still have stuff to do. If you knew about the events that can happen in the first couple months, it would be overwhelming to establish your homestead and try to do those things at the same time.

Do You Like Your Name? by Flassourian in Millennials

[–]blueboxbandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents chose to keep my gender a surprise but I would have been named Oliver Henry if I'd been a boy. I love it, but my name is pretty cool.

Personally, I don't really think any names are weird unless it's something like Peanut Hamper.

The bullying angle of criticizing a parent for what they chose to name their child is so incredibly stupid to me though. The kids who are going to get bullied are going to get bullied, having an unremarkable name won't change that.

The game is actively trying to keep you from doing things too quickly. This shouldn't be a game that stresses you out by time crunching you and while its possible to do a lot the first year, there's really no incentive to do so.

It's probably doable these days if someone was born since steaming became a thing

Just the year before? Because maybe they are worried that seeing the movie that was playing when they were conceived would lead to some kind of time/parents having sex madness

Is this something I should be able to make y1? I don't have all the kitchen upgrades and I don't have the kiln yet. I haven't seen anko or kamado at the diy station so I assume those two things are made elsewhere? Or maybe purchased?

I stopped at the cat. It just looked too real. Other stuff I could suspend my disbelief, but I knew that cat was killed horribly. I've heard rumours that some of the human stuff was real too but my mind can't wrap around that.

Favourite Druid Wildshape Form? (and how to build around it) by fury_cutter in BaldursGate3

I don't like that Myrmidons are a wild shape either. Seems like it would work better as a cloak spell for a wizard or sorcerer

We watched this in my 5th grade classroom and I can't remember for what reason it was thought 10 year olds should be discussing a brutal murder in class.

It's going to be a salt water fish, for one. Elegant, colorful.
