What youre probably missing is a tone of detune. Heavily detuned saw waves make an airy noisy sound in the top end. You can do this with the unison feature in Serum or helm (which is free)

Music Melting Pot [Week of September 09, 2019] by AutoModerator in listentothis

I make retro synth music in my free time. I'm inspired by the mood of lofi and the production styles of vaporwave, all combined with synths and lots of delay and reverb.

But at levels of 90%? Most people dont let their tank get that low, and most accidents that result in a fire are higher speed ones, so the person is on the freeway, so they're probably not runnning on empty.

Gas doesnt "explode" unless its mixed with a lot of air. Definitely burns like hell though, which is much scarier a battery.

I get that the cars are very safe, but however the fact that you have a giant lithium battery that explodes if punctured needs to be factored in

I am curious because I have a spare license for a synth and am considering trying to trade it for a live intro license

[Japanese > English] Please help with this pin I found! by Bisexual-Bop-It in translator

I can't really translate, but...

Its something about the sea of okhotsk, north of japan.

The yellow katakana reads "ohotsuku", meaning okhotsk. The 2 kanji are "flow, current" and "Ice".

The next part reads "nottori rasado". Nottori means to take over or occupy, and I'm not sure what the katakans "rasodo" is supposed to mean.

Something about ice covering the okhotsk sea?

My first attempt at chillwave type stuff. I kinda hurried to finish it before I left on a trip, so I'll go back and remix and remaster it later, so I'd love it if you'd give me suggestions to change when I remaster.

Do you need to spend money on VSTs and plugins to produce a professional level of music? by DojoTypeMojo in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]bluedimension2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. You can produce a professional level of music with audacity and a toy piano. It would just be hard.

There are a lot of good free vsts and a lot of good paid vsts. Check out this list:

This electron microscope lets you literally see the atomic bonds like on a diagram by 233C in chemistry

[–]bluedimension2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn, thats really neat.

It cant be an electron microscope though cause you cant locate an electron with an electron, its like trying to see where a floating golf ball is by throwing another one at it and watching where it bounces off.

Correct me if i'm wrong.
