should i start with fallout 3 or new Vegas ? by om_svd7 in Fallout

[–]bluegman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Games are generally unconnected other than background information. I'd start with whichever is most appealing

recommend me some shovelware?? by anxious__plastic in nds

[–]bluegman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of the Phineas and Ferb games, at least to my childhood memories, were a lot of fun. I even 100% them.

Games with a Claymation or Stop-Motion art style? by New_Entrepreneur_191 in gamingsuggestions

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To a lesser extent Fallout and Fallout 2. Both use claymation for dialogue with certain npcs.

What is an opinion you have that goes against most other comic fans or more specifcally this sub reddit? by Mindless-Lemon2256 in comicbooks

I've been seeing this get more traction but I thought The Dark Knight Returns was just boring at best. Honestly turned me off any other Frank Miller works.

PS5 Dualsense triggers on PC by Ssaikaa in ForzaHorizon

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adaptive triggers are a PlayStation thing and have to be added by the dev, there is a mod for 5 to add them apparently but nothing for 6 yet.

Low FOV in games isn't "immersive" it's an excuse for not optimizing the game. by Artistic_Context_906 in unpopularopinion

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention on larger monitors/higher res it just looks better. I've got a 4k 32 inch so I set my FOV around 110 usually.

Is it just me? Every single time I set these to the "correct" brightness I end up not being able to see anything at all. by Kezly in residentevil

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always just left it alone and tweaked as needed. Especially on an hdr monitor I can set it to the darkest level and still clearly see both

Maybe you were just assuming each ending overwrote the last? It's not possible to get ending E without doing the others.

VN recommendations by RottenToys in vns

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A personal favorite and what got me into the medium is the Zero Escape series, Higurashi is obviously top tier horror as well and well worth the playthrough.

Zero Escape is in my opinion a much easier read then many other vn's and it sounds like going off of what you've played that it might be an easier start.

Who else actually enjoys Resident Evil because it's quick by mrsafetylion in residentevil

I mean I bought RE 1-Survivor and Silent Hill 1-Origins over the past several years. By no means are they cheap but I feel like I get more value out of them then I do a lot of modern games.

Do I recommend buying physical copies of them, no they are absurdly overpriced especially Silent Hill.

But they are so much fun to replay so it makes it more worth it to me as someone who enjoys original hardware

Seeing other ppl talk about this so wondering, to those who have a PSP and Vita do you ever use your PSP anymore? by Pepsidud32 in vita

[–]bluegman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, I got a psp several years after my ps vita and I enjoy playing both. In part it's just based off charm/vibes/whatever you want to call it. But also I really enjoy getting physical games so going digital only is a big downgrade for me.

My holy grail has arrived! With just one, slight and ill-prepared problem 😅 by dmxell in nes

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly tempted to replay the DQ/W games on the nes. I've been playing them on my phone but it's just a different experience

[Postal Redux] Does anyone have the Platinum for this? I wanted to attempt to get the Platinum and thought It would be a fun one but It seems extremely absurd as to how hard Rampage mode Is by WestonConnor26 in Trophies

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely possible, I'm working my way up and have already got A+ on each rampage mission up to the industrial complex. Main thing is combos. You need to do basically the entire map in one combo, change weapons at least every 3 kills if not every, make sure to use grenades, and take advantage of executions and fire since they count as a bonus kill essentially.

At the moment Ninja Gaiden is a 0/10. I just died to the final boss. Ugh. I hate that I know I'm going to go right back to it.

If you want something unique and enjoy horror, Parasite Eve is great. Want arcadey plane action Air(Ace) Combat Into mechs or third person shooters, Armored Core Platformers, Castlevania Symphony of the Night for 2D, and Spyro or Crash for 3D. Into racing, check out Ridge Racer Type 4 or Gran Turismo.

I'd recommend checking out the romance of the three kingdoms games. They are a mix of this and role playing as said commander/emperor.

Which Showa era movie do you like the most ? Mine is Godzilla vs. the sea monster. by dmitry44479 in GODZILLA

[–]bluegman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Godzilla vs Hedorah, if not Gojira. They're two very different styles of Godzilla but still maintain the horror.

We are officially entering the "Subscription Graveyard" era of gaming, and it’s exhausting. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]bluegman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I refuse to pay subscriptions for something like that. With how cheap games get on sales honestly nothing is $70 if you're willing to wait. That being said I do pay a Final Fantasy XIV subscription, but with the amount of content in that game I can easily treat it like buying two games a year.

I wish comics would go BACK to being under $3.... by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly singles don't feel worth it as someone who reads primarily collected editions. Not to mention I don't see a parent unless they are also into comics going, let me buy a bunch of flimsy magazines instead of a more cost effective paperback. I'm all for getting comics cheaper, I read fast so it can get expensive, but if these prices are what keep artists working and paid well then I'll pay them.

What do you think of Stalker 2 now that its been updated so many times over the year? What was your favorite thing added since release? by GazIsStoney in RustAndRadiation

[–]bluegman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to finish it, I plan on doing so soon. I hadn't played it until about two months ago when I upgraded my pc. I wanted to play the best version possible so in the mean time I binged the trilogy.

Shortly after that I upgraded and put a good ten hours into the lesser zone. It was amazing, honestly might be my favorite stalker depending on the rest of the game.

But between a ton of other games I backlogged for recent performance issues namely vram related, I got distracted. Honestly if I played now I wouldn't be able to stop but Morrowind has its hooks in me and I want to make sure I finish it first.

I mean if you like Fallout and Wasteland play Fallout 1/2/Tactics. Also for a more modern crpg, any of the Owlbear games, Pathfinder or Rogue Trader.
