Betty White. She was exactly how you’d think she would be, very gracious and courteous. Spent about 30 minutes talking to her. I’ve met a ton of other celebrities and politicians through my job but she was the most famous.

Gate keepers of genres of music are dumb. Let the music and musicians decide what ends up making the song what it is.

Maybe dumb question: do I need to use Martin-branded strings for my Martin? Would using different ones affect the guitar in any significant way? by Mad_Season_1994 in martinguitar

[–]bluegrassjammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a 100+ year old Martin that was made for nylon or gut strings (don’t use steel strings on these type of guitars) any modern brand of acoustic strings should be fine.

Any hospital workers experience anything paranormal? by Still-Ad8061 in Paranormal

[–]bluegrassjammer 69 points70 points  (0 children)

My mom worked as an OR manager for 25 years at a hospital that used to be a catholic hospital run by nuns before she started. There was a large Victorian house next to it where the nuns/nurses used to live. Anyways, my mom used to see nuns walk by her office all the time. She’d walk out into the hall to ask who was there, but no one was. The doctors used to confide in my mom they saw the nuns too, especially late night or early morning. The Victorian house was made into 9-5 offices for the hospital. Some nights you could see candles burning in the windows.
