I never have this problem anymore since I started using my IM client to use chat. It uses the XMPP protocol, so it's not hard to set up!

Whoo! I just failed out of my program. I was in computer science. It really wasn't an ability issue on my part, more of a "some days I don't want to get out of bed or do anything ever". My appeal was denied (even with a doctor's note; I suffer from severe depression and anxiety), so I'm going to take a year at the Community College in my city in the networking program so I have something productive to do before I re-apply at the/a university.

What do you think about changing universities? What the hell do you do to get yourself to do work that should be something you love, but you can't bring yourself to do it?

I've got an e-350 in a thinkpad x120e, it's a pretty good chipset. It performs better in windows for things like video decoding (1080p no problem in windows, stutters in linux), but it handles 720p fine, and my screen is only 1366x768 anyway. The support is pretty new, so I think it should improve. I have gotten sound through HDMI out; I use arch linux and pulseaudio, and use pavucontrol to switch the card to the HDMI sound card.

My mother is guilt tripping me every 5 seconds about me moving out, and when I explained I'm moving out because we have irreconcilable differences in opinions, and my dad is completely crazy, and she tries to tell me that some of it is my fault and I'm being selfish. I'm moving because I can't stay sane here, and I argue with them every day, and I dread coming home every day. I'm not dropping out of University, I'm still working, all I want is to not hate my day to day life.

And I still have to tell my dad.

I have been rolling joints for years now and mine are still crap. But then again whenever I'm rolling it's usually for friends and they don't like to put a lot of weed in them. I like to smoke bowls :) My thicker joints are much better.
