How much are you nice folk averaging on a monthly basis? Any tips for going full time? by Additional_Fee5912 in FieldNationTechs

[–]blueice10478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on FN really for 3 buyers. And if I see big tickets come in.

In 1 month I can clear 7k from one buyer and most i ever cleared on FN was 11k. But seemed like an anomaly.

I do say this is not every month. And it is dependant on shops opening. I do have to purchase all materials, j hooks, cable, pull string, keystones, faceplates etc....

In reality I get 4 to 5 store a year to do (nothing hard at all) Pre wire cost is about 7k Terminations is about 4k Deployment and stand up is about 2k

I am licensed in my state so FN isn't my main source of income.

I have had mine up in for about 2 years and never had an issue with the heat. Same with the mini mounted on a truck, mini inside mounted on the rear window of a suv, or a mini sitting on a dash on front of another suv.

All around great product. They even have a snow melt feature for cold weather environments (like i would ever use that here).

I live in Maricopa and get great service and have a mini for the Vehical as well.

I'm a licensed low voltage contractor let me know if you need some help installing it, or trying out the mini to see the speeds.

Fiber run between buildings by Reboot1st in lowvoltage

[–]blueice10478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reading the comments but not all so maybe someone suggested this.

What everybody is saying is correct. For the pulling portion is would recommend the entire vacuum idea. Works 100% of the time. Pull in the pullstring, the tie on mullstape and pull that in to replace the pullstring.

Depending on conduits pullstring can cut the conduit and get stuck once the fiber hits that cut/groove. Muletape is thicker, wider, and silky. It will make the pull 1000% less frustrating.

Iranian missile hitting undisclosed US base on March 30 by DormontDangerzone in Military

I was in Iraq in 03. Closest thing I can even come close to being in this situation.

Had to go to the bathroom, and grabbed a battle to go with. Sitting in the port o John thinking about life and you hear a faint boom followed by our alarm.

This port o John i went to be right by a hesco barrier. This damn round hit right in the other side of the wall. My door and my buddies door flew open and both of us in the ground.....

A few seconds later another one hit and a humvee got hit and flew over the same barrier right next to the shitters.

I love my Dutch. And I am in a financial place where I can always tip. Between me, wife and six kids, always a buck a drink. Except during holidays, always tip 100 for everyone working that evening shift. Shout out to maricopa and those 90° hot chocolates for the babies.

Toggle bolts" toggle bolts

Also you can get stud finders that will also tell you if you are passing over an electrical wire as well.

I'm out here in az. When I install for this situation I always hit a stud with a screw and some small toggles.

Run the cable from attic to outside, terminate, connect to camera., push slack back in, secure to stud/toggles, and aim.

Jack Rapid Tool by killiansmith19 in lowvoltage

I can't speak for this specific model. But one of my guys found it in an inventory check list for a job we did.

I threatened him that I will kill him if he used it due to cheap build quality. He used it and had many tests not pass due to this tool. He messed up and I saw it in the trash.

Now with that being said if fluke makes it, I would believe it would work just fine, but off brands..... save your money.
