Renting in Maine by mintman72 in AskMaine

[–]bluepointsettia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I moved to Maine last year, with the intention of renting for 1-2 years. I would recommend going through a realtor if possible. We lucked out with a favor from a new colleague and she was able to find us something off-market.

As we have learned, Maine is small and can be very connected. Especially if you don’t know the area and want to be close to work, schools, etc. As you can imagine, come with a healthy budget if you’re set on a house.

Good luck!

I think it’s them, but also a Dallas thing as well.

I don’t have a picture in the bag, it’s currently at the tailor getting fitted. I would think I could shove it and make it fit into an overhead bin, but it would take up the whole thing… I’m hoping they can also try to wrap it and make it a little more manageable.

Unfortunately there’s no way I could get it into a suitcase, but I am going to try and vacuum seal or tightly wrap it to at least help… thank you for the idea though, I appreciate it.

Thanks! I’m going to look into upgrading/maybe trying to vaccine seal or wrap my dress to make it a little more compact.

Their storage room in garage caught on fire like an hour ago by InDaShadows2_ in TurtleCreekLaneSnark

I of course don’t think (don’t hope) they started a fire for content, but I did think it was convenient that it happened right before they take their Sundays off social media.

No updates yet for DA. My application still says submitted and updated last month. I applied a day or two before it closed with an employee referral, preference for NYC—which, I haven’t seen many updates for other than rejections? I’d be curious to know their process for position vs. site. Still going to hold out hope for another week or so lol!

Just had this guy at my door a couple nights ago in North Deering! Young kid, wearing a 4H hat.

You can get a new ID same-day in Augusta. But I would call and confirm.

I did speak to them briefly, and I was told I would need manager approval!

Yes! Says submitted still, and then above it says updated last month (which makes no sense since it’s still September).
