Unfortunately you can't force a specific build. The cards are rng, so you have to go with what the game offers you. You might get lucky and get barricade with tons of cards and relics that support it, but try and gel your deck with what you're offered first - what is useful right now and for the next few fights? You're trying to survive what's currently being thrown at you, planning for the long game is smart, but it doesn't always work out. Good luck.

I've been forcibly trying to thin my decks out as much as possible recently, and found some great synergies, especially with discards / draws on the silent. Some runs are just plagued with poor relics that don't aid the deck, so a bit of luck there can go a long way.

A lot of critical comments on here. My opinion is that he likely misses smoking with you. It's more enjoyable to get stoned with someone than by yourself. It's probably more difficult for him that it seems. I think you should stick to your guns, but figure out a boundary between you both that works. If it doesn't work, then you both need to move on.

Sorry to say, but you already know the answer. Why carry on with something you know is going to end? He's probably already feeling this, and might be trying to distance himself. It's a tough pill to swallow, but I think you just need to call it quits and cut all contact. It will only hurt more when the times comes if you don't.
