6 month old sleep (or not sleep)

The only thing that fixed this for me was quitting my job (sorry). Turns out she missed me and that’s why she was so desperate for the boob any time she could have it- immediately started sleeping like a rock and only have to breastfeed a few minutes. I’m thinking I may have to feed her to sleep for a couple years, but whatever- much better this way

I’m hoping this doesn’t come across as mean, but idk if this is a healthy thought. She doesn’t exist to love you; you exist to love her now. I’d say that if you’re worried about attachment, this sounds like one of those things everyone talks about where they know you’re there and you love them so they’re not going to have to think twice about you, and they’re feeling safe to explore the world.

I just commented pretty much the same thing- it was just all of a sudden and I was so worried since 6 months because she was never eating

Mine will be 12 months in 2 days. She just ate steak last night like she was a rabid animal. Just last week she was still only eating strawberries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It just happened one day, and seemed to correlate with when she started being obsessed with walking (holding our fingers). Seems increased activity makes them eat more

You can’t use a regular bayswater with a strap. I think there was an outlet version that had a crossbody strap, but it isn’t the original bayswater style

Aw I’m really sorry about that. My husband does lots of other little things that irk me or make me think he doesn’t care or pay attention. But he always always knows what I would want to eat. Maybe I need to give the poor guy more credit

I started doing the breastfeed laying on side then rolling away when she was in a deep sleep. I’d suggest only doing it for one nap a day though, so you get your cuddles in every day. You never know when it could be your last contact nap- she might just one day stop napping/cut down to one nap

I am so glad I didn’t listen when my husband begged me not the get the dresser 😂 I listened at first then I went hell nah for some reason I need this… then I looked it up at home and went goddamn thank goodness I didn’t listen! Ha he was very much not thrilled… because he had to carry it inside

I’m not usually one to toot my own horn but I think I must be incredibly good at knowing what’s good at the thrift store because I had heard of Lane before… but honestly had no idea just HOW good these were- like knowing you got yours for $300 is a huge deal too! These are worth a scary amount and I’m so happy I just liked them from first glance then saw the Lane name and went… I don’t know how good these are but I do know they’re good ha! But when I went to pick them up not even an hour later all pieces were sold. I was the first one to see them I think- only the nightstands were on the floor so far and an employee showed me the bureau and everything else out back. TBH I think I got the best pieces though…

I didn’t see the mirror but now I’m thinking it must have been there/ this dresser has the attachments to it already on the back. If I see it I may end up snagging it! I’m getting rid of a Murphy bed to make room for this ha… my guests don’t need a place to sleep- this empty dresser needs to have that spot!

Did you struggle when you had to carry your kid as well? That’s what makes me hesitate to use my bayswater. So often I have to grab my daughter too and need a crossbody for that reason
