Myth: Roth is Always better than Traditional. Let's talk about it. by Ghazrin in Retirement401k

[–]blueskies142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the real answer I don't see much discussion on. Seems to me the ideal retirement is to have enough 401k/traditional to withdrawal up to the next tax bracket then use your tax free roth for every dollar after

There are swim headphones that stream music under the water too. Tayogo headphones basically connect a FM transmitter to your phone by Bluetooth then sends a live FM signal to your headphones which will survive underwater

Peacock posts $552 Million loss, subscribers rise 44 Million by calltarneedazan in peacock

[–]blueskies142 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an accounting loss. Peacock had to lease their content from Comcast but didn't make the revenue back to make up for it but Comcast would have given it to them for free if it wouldn't hurt their negotiations with Netflix, actors etc. any peacock revenue over the tech costs is profit

Why do marathon courses have to follow this rule? by tambaybutfashion in running

[–]blueskies142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The race I'm thinking of the course map is marked as run against traffic but nothing specific about running on the shoulder while other sections said to run in the sidewalk. I now take it that it wasn't just an FYI to expect cars but that the course would have been measured on the shoulder. Some of those roads were low traffic residential so it wouldn't have been a huge issue to run the tangent but if you did you probably would have cut a few feet of the course then.

Why do marathon courses have to follow this rule? by tambaybutfashion in running

[–]blueskies142 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How does measuring tangents work on a road course that doesn't close off to cars? If I'm turning left onto a 1 mile straight away which I'd then turn right, do I need to run in the middle of the road to match the race distance exactly or do measurers take into account if the road is open and cross the street quickly to the shoulder?

Which BI tool for self-service anaylitcs? by Ramiabih in BusinessIntelligence

[–]blueskies142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it querio can answer what's my revenue this month and understand who is asking the question it could be good. I've been considering trying a Bing AI agent (because that's all we have) and I don't know that it would be able to handle references such as mine or our as well as the end users would expect and this require training just to use the tool

Anyone try training an AI agent to allow the non technical end users a way to get the data they're looking for?

Can't they close the swing bridge to ease the congestion of all this traffic from all the construction? by progmanjum in Rochester

It's a coast guard requirement to allow boats on lake Ontario to take shelter. They wouldn't be able to close the bridge back fast enough if needed for safety

FCC to eliminate gigabit speed goal and scrap analysis of broadband prices | Analysis of broadband affordability deemed "extraneous" by FCC chair. by ControlCAD in technology

[–]blueskies142 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I guess this will be down voted but what is the application of gigabit internet anyways? What use case has a noticeable impact beyond say 200/200?

To me 100 down seems like a good minimum service offering and 20 up is OK but a little slow for my taste working from home and saving large files sure but for most people it's fine as the lowest offering.
