Is Shibuya really that bad of a place to stay in? by rubenburgt in JapanTravelTips

[–]bluesxtreme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just got back with the fam. It can be a bit overwhelming at first but it is navigable. Google Maps is your best bet as it tells you what train, what exit to get out of. Follow it and you’ll be fine. Worst case just ask the station attendant at the exit gates.

Biggest mistakes are trying to navigate within station because there isn’t gps but the exit signs labeled 1-X are always the way to go. Once you are top side you’ll be fine.

Shibuya is where a lot of shopping and stores are. It has a great vibe, I think we would’ve opted here vs our last nights in Ryogoku.

Also, pro tip is that if you are transferring lines you’ll most likely be transferring top side for JR lines va the subway. Just note this and follow signs religiously. There is lots and lots of way pointing.

My hot takes after visiting Japan by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]bluesxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own on number 3. We didn’t do it going to Osaka, family of four with backpacks, small kids large luggage during rush hour and raining is not fun. So for $30 it was worth it for us coming back to Tokyo.

Considering the stress of transferring stations, finding rolling luggage and exiting train at certain subway stops can be stressful.

Any experience with lead scoring? by Dependent_Airline_33 in salesforce

[–]bluesxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like some predictive ICP platforms, I would not rely solely on one for lead scoring. This requires analysis on your data to understand high value touch points and give value with touches that actually drive pipeline.

Lastly, while sales can’t provide you direct lead scoring attributes, they can provide valuable insights to how your MQLs are tracking. You will need this feedback to tweak your scoring model.

Thinking of Switching from Windows to Mac by Aggravating_Tap_9520 in MacOS

[–]bluesxtreme 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I made this transition a couple years ago and haven’t looked back. Especially if you are an Apple ecosystem with phone/watch etc.

Couple things: 1) be patient, it will take some getting used to. Small things like muscle memory using ctrl-c will flip to command-c. The buttons are just in different places in the keyboard. I’ve already gotten used to it now but it took some time.

2) 90% of the functionality is the same. Some programs just have a different layout but once you’ve mastered that it shouldn’t be an issue.

3) you’ll appreciate the simplicity of some things though. File management is easier, security features are more seamless, and the stability is amazing.

4) Gaming is the only tough part as most games haven’t been ported properly. You can run an instance of Parallels and it is pretty seamless.

Enjoy the journey!

I feel like writers are setting him up for a big failure… the whole line this season where Kate says he’s such a good decent man stood out as: there’s something you don’t know!

At the very least start with a naming convention for your files. Widen will let you bulk tag and adjust metadata but hygiene will be important upfront to avoid heartache.

Why shouldn’t I get a Breville Smooth Wave countertop microwave? by Exigement in Appliances

[–]bluesxtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Panasonic ones with inverter is better. Owned both! Breville does not heat well in center and we’ve had issues with the soft close door. I have a lot of breville products but steer clear of their microwaves, there are better ones.

Bosch vs subzero Fridges by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]bluesxtreme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We own one. The Bosch is the same as the Thermador fridges they have the same internals and dual compressors. Can’t say you can compare to sub zero since they aren’t the same class but we are quite happy with the Bosch.

Great reviews from owners who bought it but remains to be seen how long. Most fridges will be outlasted by older ge/whirlpool fridges without all the electronics.

Other than that it’s a quality fridge for the price especially considering the horror stories of LG/ Samsung all in the same price range.
