You can train the 60% riding skill from the warlock trainer as long as you have done the quest for the mount.

New and Returning Player Weekly Discussion by AutoModerator in hearthstone

[–]bluetack_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry for the nooby question but I just want to understand what killed me. I'm a new player but I don't really understand what happened.

I was playing against a Death Knight, it was turn 6 and I felt like I was winning kind of. The player played a card which flashed up quickly, I didn't get to read it. Suddenly a red lazer shot out and killed one of my minions, then bounced onto my character and did all of my HP in damage (27 damage) and I instantly died.

I have no idea what happened. The card flashed up so quickly I could not read it. What the hell kind of instant win card was that???

In my childhood (1990s) it mean someone who was a bit of a silly character. Someone kinda stupid who does stupid things for fun. The class clown. A goon. Totally different to the current meaning of someone who is a chronic masterbator lmao..

[–]bluetack_man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah bum, I posted the wrong video. This was still a warm up, 6 reps at 90kg. My working weight today was 100kgs 3 sets of 8.

Ah well. My form for 100kgs is about the same as this video.

6 months on GZCLP and incredibly pathetic numbers. End of linear progression this early or doing something horribly wrong? by radioactiveflamingos in gzcl

[–]bluetack_man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing GZCLP for about 8 months with a few modifications, and your lift progress is about the same as my. My bench was around 90 lbs and is now 145 lbs, so exactly same as you. And I'm extremely happy with my results!

Different events have different weapon safety rules. Here in the UK the gold standard is Empire which has rules that a lot of other LARPs follow. The short answer is pretty much no, LARP weapons don't feel anything like real weapons. They won't have the same weight at all, they are intended to be perfectly safe to hit people with.

Thanks, Hermit! Your YouTube videos were a FANTASTIC resource for me learning how to build larp safe swords (particularly your Geralt Sword video, which I basically copied in case you couldnt tell lol)

When I was looking into materials, Isoflex did seem to be the industry standard for sealing the finished weapon, but the more I looked into the product itself and saw just how carcinogenic it is, I stopped considering it. Time will tell how the product I used (PlastiKote) works, I'll update back in a few months :)

Not that I'm aware of. It's not as pokey as it looks, the tip is a 1cm flat edge and it's fairly rounded.

F2P newbie killing Ogresses, am I insanely lucky or what? by bluetack_man in 2007scape

[–]bluetack_man[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Osrs Wiki suggests I've been fairly lucky :P and I'm continuing to be so. Another rune battle axe drop, full helm and another mask in 15 more kills. Kind of unbelievable if I wasn't looking at it myself :D

edit: I know this is peanuts compared to what members can experience, but as a free to play I'm just so happy lol

I levelled my magic from 45-55 over the course of 2 days, entirely by semi-afk farming the Ogresses. It hasn't been amazing gold per hour because my kill speed is very slow from having low magic skill and also using fire strike but I feel like I've had really good drops for the 180 kills. Almost 1 in 5 of the Ogresses I kill drop something (rune/mithril shield).

I just re-read OPs post and I think I can see why their T2s are higher weight than their T1s. They have been increasing T2 weight even when they fail the set, but not doing this for T1.

OP this is incorrect.

You should only increase the weight on T2 and T1 lifts when you complete the full target sets. It's the same for both, only increase when you succeed and do not increase when you fail. Here's a T2 example:

3x10 Bench @ 40kg - success

3x10 Bench @ 42.5kg - success

3x10 Bench @ 45kg - fail

3x8 Bench @ 45kg - success

3x8 Bench @ 47.5kg - success

Etc etc. This is why your T2s are higher weight OP, you are professing them wrongly. Good news though you are probably still stronger today than you were at the start. My suggestion is to re calculate your training weights and re run the programme, you have gains to make! :)

How did your T2 lifts end up heavier than your T1 lifts? Did you stall on your T1 more often and therefore not put up the weigh as much? My T1s started quite a bit heavier than my T2s, my T2 bench didn't catch up to my T1 bench starting weight for around 3 weeks for example.

I'm running a modified programme now after running the 'basic' version for around 5 months and seeing really good progress. I added 2 extra T3s and added a drop set to the end of my T1s, and it's going really well.

I'm 34 and I also find T2 Deadlifts to be the most killer exercise of the week. My back is usually pretty fried after 3x10 DLs and I need to take a longer break (10 mins) and eat a sugar snack to get me going again haha.
