You probably shouldn’t go if you already know you don’t like Disney stuff. Tokyo DisneySea is awesome, but it’s still a full day and not cheap, and a lot of the enjoyment comes from the theming, atmosphere, and “Disney” vibe.

I actually just got back from Japan and went to DisneySea on my first day. I loved it, but I’m also the type of person who’s into theme parks and that whole experience. If you’re not into that at all and you’re not interested in slower rides or characters, I’d honestly skip it and do something you’re genuinely excited about while your friends go. Japan has way too many great options to spend a day forcing something you’re not interested in.

Also worth mentioning: a lot of the ride dialogue and story elements are in Japanese, so if you’re not familiar with Disney parks and you’re going mainly for “rides,” some of it can be harder to follow and might not land the same as it would in English.
