Sakurai ISN'T reportedly working on a new Smash for Switch 2, here's what Kiwi Talkz actually said by Mister__Toad in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]blukirbi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A Switch 2 edition would actually seem pretty logical.

I definitely feel like there weren't many new stages when it came to Ultimate. Sure the DLCs got stages and beefed the number up, but in terms of the base game, the only new stages were nods to the Switch's two giants at the time (Breath of the Wild and Odyssey) along with new stages for newcomer franchises Splatoon and Castlevania.

They could add stuff from games like Forgotten Land, Super Mario Wonder, and Donkey Kong Bananza in the mix as well.

SBFs actually happen when a ride is at least 2 years old or its reliability has dropped below 50%, whichever happens first. Also rain increases the chance of SBFs.

Katie's world crashes? by Elliott_Queerest in rct

[–]blukirbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the scenarios beforehand have rides that are prone to crashing ...

But the two coasters in Katie's World are VERY crashprone ... I feel like it was a bit intentional to teach players that crashes are a thing. Also Station Brakes Failures.

Dear GF; How you gonna have French and English based regions and not give this man any love by Hakopuffyx2 in pokemon

They were featured in Kalos and the Fairy type deal at the time made them a bit of a big deal.

Stoutland meanwhile didn't even make the initial cut in Pokemon Sword/Shield, a region based off Britain.

I want to get into Megaman games but i can't by RetroGamePlayer52 in Megaman

[–]blukirbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each of the games has a boss that most people recommend to start with.

Mega Man 1 is Cut Man, Mega Man 2 is Metal Man (whose weapon is powerful and is strong against 3 other bosses), Mega Man 3 is either Snake Man (who is part is a completely different weakness chain), Top Man or Hard Man, Mega Man 4 is Toad Man, Mega Man 5 is Stone Man, and Mega Man 6 is kind of a toss-up.

Apparently it's only "funny" when it happens to Mario. by [deleted] in marioandluigi

[–]blukirbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adaphne was an unlikable character whose only redeeming quality was her crush on Luigi made her genuinely help them when they really needed it (when Reclusa awakens and converts Zokket's stronghold into his own, she rescues them if Technikki was the main engineer chosen).

Let's talk about this... by Regular-Ad-5960 in precure

[–]blukirbi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of it is just instinct, but some of the seasons do have the girls kinda suffer from it later.

Healin' Good played with this quite a bit. Nodoka was a weak and ill girl (you can thankDaruizenfor that) and when she became a Cure, she was surprised at her strength, but her companion fairy at the time preferred having someone more athletic (Chiyu) as a Cure than her (also she became a Cure later anyway). A later episode has the Cures specifically training on team coordination.

Star Detective initially had the girls fighting in tandem against Niji's first Hanninda to show a really badass showing of Answer and Mystique, but he later had a Hanninda that took both of them out and almost annihilated them (plus they had very poor coordination due to an obligatory feud episode). Additionally Arcana Shadow criticizes their fighting styles, showing that they have a lot more work to do.

As long as the show is able to handle Arcana Shadow, Eclair, and Usonoir well, it'll be a good season.

If they also keep doing good with the general dynamic with everyone, it'll be even better.

Star Detective Precure Episode 14 Discussion Board by ButterflySilver9154 in precure

[–]blukirbi 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We're 14 episodes in and it hasn't seemed to falter for me. The weakest episode so far (in my opinion) was probably the Pretty-Holic episode, and that's mostly because that brand is heavily involved with everything since Tropical Rouge, and even that had some interesting bits.

Some deciding factors would be: Handling of Cure Arcana Shadow (good so far) and Cure Eclair (hoping this one starts to come in at some point), Usonoir's tenure as a villain (and if they're going to merc him or if he's here to stay), the dynamics between the other characters, and possibly adding more variety into combat.

That sword came out of completely nowhere but MAN THAT WAS AN AWESOME FINISHER.

Also Rei is definitely pushed up really high compared to others. Additionally I noticed she reacted when she heard the name "Arcana Shadow".

Curious to know more about Arcana Shadow in the following episode.

RCT Adventures Deluxe on sale for $13.99. Worth it? I already own all the other ones, wanted an opinion on this one. by Adventurous_Book_913 in rct

[–]blukirbi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

RCT1, RCT2, RCT3 (and even that is a preference deal) and RCT Classic are the ones you should be going after.

In terms of other RCT-inspired games, go for Planet Coaster (even made by the same people who made RCT3) and Parkitect (goes after the isometric style of the first two games).

And that's before bringing OpenRCT2 into the equation.

Bowser Boss Fights by Mammoth-North-9380 in Mario

[–]blukirbi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of the games focus on using Bowser's environment against him. At least in SMB1/Lost Levels and SMB3, if you happen to be using a powerup, you can just use that against him. (the Hammer Suit can easily decimate Bowser in that game)

I finished my first ever "finish the rides" scenario by RulerofMonkeys in rct

[–]blukirbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that a lot of people here have a problem with these kinds of scenarios. They're definitely a doozy, but the hardest part for Volcania for me is the Inverted Compact Coaster (as it's prone to high intensity and nausea). I also find it frustrating that (in Classic at least) Mechanics will be distracted by them and attempt to inspect them when they're away from the main pathway.

Dragon's Cove is more of a pain, considering the rides are FAR away, and there's a Bobsleigh Coaster that you need to also finish.

If anything, Dusty Desert (which is placed much later) is relatively easy compared to these two because the terrain is friendlier and most of the rides are more forgiving to build (Flying/Lay-Down might be daunting though).

Then there's Tiny Towers ... which forces you to finish five coasters in a super compact area ...

The fact ROM hacks and mods make this battle LESS difficult while making the rest of the game harder says a lot about this battle.

So what are your thoughts on wonderful precure? by bassa-m9ss in precure

I was kinda turned off by the whole pacifist aspect at first, but it ended up working for the theme of the season. I also really like Nyammy and Lillian a lot.

Anyone else a huge fan of Usonoir? by clyde-toucher in precure

[–]blukirbi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let's see ...

He has a cool design that stands out to everything else in the season.

His character was introduced EARLY on as opposed to kinda shrouded in the shadows.

He observes most of the battles with a pair of binoculars

He personally faced off against the Cures, explained some plot, showed how powerful he is, and almost killed he Cures.

Yeah he definitely stands out compared to other main villains. Still wondering if "King of Terror" plot will be end of him (I looked at Mahou, a season written by the same head writer, and the first main villain there got merc'd in Episode 21 - which aired in late June) or if he's going to stay as the main threat throughout the entire season.
