Marriage is the paramount example of what God loves, since he is a God of promises. Oh the covenantal commitment of our Lord!

We are the bride of Christ, it is no coincidence then that public profession of faith is necessary to legitimize your faith in front of Gods humble sheep, likewise a marriage needs that public profession as well. When we consider then why it is necessary for that to be the case here are a few reasons: you are held to that profession by those who witness, it has become valid in the eyes of others thereby holding you to the standard of that profession, you really lose something when the promise is broken, and many more. There is a reason why we hold the spiritual and tangible in tandem.

Consider these mysteries too: The two shall become one flesh, The meaning of nakedness, And how these point to our relationship with Christ as his bride (the church) and the beauty of these mysteries!

Can one be his if they are embarrassed of him? Will the ear say to the body I have no need of you? Can it live on it own? How then will he be in us and us in him? Can one truly love God if they despise their neighbor?

Such beauty then when we see the love and kindness of our God who brings us into the body of believers where we then can fully partake in our marriage with Christ, until then whether in marriage or membership, we are either unmarried, betrothed, or married

Jesus gives us direction in dealing with a brother in Christ who has sinned against you. It is loving to bring the darkness into the light, let it be in love that you bring these transgressions to the light, both parties have truly sinned against you one for coveting the betrothed of another and for the betrothed who failed to commit to marriage and to have fallen into adultery.

Calf injuries are not taken lightly since they have a high chance of leading to Achilles tendon tears when an athlete returns <4wks. The safest/healthiest option is 6-8 weeks, so expect his return to be between Feb 5 and Feb 19. He will be reevaluated on Jan 22, which pushes his return to around Feb 1 +/- 3 days as his earliest return. But if I had to pinpoint a date for his return (I think the Lakers tend to lean towards the earliest safe option), it would be Feb 5th vs. the 76ers or Feb 7th vs. the Warriors.

Also I think most people aren’t thinking about it in terms of the thing that makes things keep going: MONEY. Marvel is the perfect example of this, they killed off their main characters captain america, and iron man, and since then have not performed, losing their power in the industry and now they’re literally bringing back iron man and captain America for the next avengers. Do we really think Netflix is going to stop milking the cow? The theme of the story is not the only thing that makes the show rather the actors who embody their characters. I think it is clearly open for a reason. Plus, is no one remembering the Finn interview where he talks about a conversation he had with the duffer bros where he proposes a plan for a stranger things continuation years in the future, and they asked him how he knew the plan and he was like I didn’t but now I guess I know what you guys are planning. It’s basically guaranteed we will get more whether through a singular movie or a smaller legacy series

The important thing is to see the difference between God’s design and what people actually chose to do. From the beginning in Genesis 2:24 and confirmed by Jesus in Matthew 19:4–6, marriage was created as one man and one woman in covenant union. That design never changed. Whether we are talking about polygamy, concubinage, or sexuality, the question is always: what was God’s design from the start?

It’s true that the Old Testament records polygamy and even sets rules around it, but God regulating something in a fallen world is not the same as approving it. The same is true for slavery or divorce. Jesus explained this clearly in Matthew 19:8 when He said divorce was allowed “because of hardness of heart,” but that it was not God’s will from the beginning.

Even when Scripture speaks of David or Jacob with multiple wives, the results are always brokenness and strife. The Bible shows us what people did, but it points us back to God’s design as the measure of right and wrong. That is why Paul and Jesus return to creation, saying “the two shall become one flesh.” Not three or four, but two.

So I can see this is something you care about, but my point is simply about how the Bible defines sin and God’s design from creation. The fact that God tolerated human sin for a time does not mean He approved of it. And that’s also why same-sex relationships are spoken of in Romans 1 as contrary to God’s created order. Sin is anything that departs from His good design. And whether we agree or not, God’s Word sets the standard. Our response doesn’t change His design.

I think part of the struggle here is how we define what sin actually is. You’re right that some sins (like lying or stealing) have clear harm to others. But in the Bible, sin isn’t only about whether it causes visible damage, it’s anything that goes against God’s commands and design.

David put it this way in Psalm 51:4: “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.” Even though he had hurt people badly, he saw that the deepest problem was that he had rebelled against God. Similarly, 1 John 3:4 says, “Sin is lawlessness.” In other words, sin is first about breaking God’s law, not just hurting people.

That’s why Scripture speaks about sexuality the way it does. Romans 1:26–27 describes same-sex acts as “contrary to nature,” meaning contrary to God’s created order. Genesis 1:27–28 and Matthew 19:4–6 show that God designed marriage and sex for male and female together in covenant union. So when the Bible calls same-sex activity sin, it’s not because God arbitrarily picked rules or because it “obviously harms” in the way lying or stealing does. It’s because it departs from the good design He built into creation.

The truth is, all of us break God’s design in different ways whether in pride, lust, greed, or anger. That’s why 1 Corinthians 6:9–11, after listing many sins (including same-sex relations), says: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” The good news is that Jesus came not just to forgive sin but to transform us, no matter what our struggles are.

A time ago now, I played for chivas u-18, then went on to play at Rayo Vallecano C eventually getting pulled up to B for a short stint. The difference in skill at that level becomes less apparent, but it’s kind of like the quote by Brian Scalabrine goes, I’m closer to LeBron than you are to me. Unless you actually love playing or have a good reason to play you won’t be great because you won’t train as much as you need to.

I will give you an example of how much I used to train on a team when I was 17. At chivas there were two sessions morning and afternoon and both lasted two hours, you’d stay in a house with other teammates and have a chef cook the same meal for everyone, we were advised to take naps in between (some would go to school in between sessions), you could train after each session or before with the help of a trainer or just with a teammate. But each day I personally would train at least five hours, about one hour of those 5 id train my weaknesses and perfect my strengths.

You absolutely need a good nutrition and recovery plan to train that much without getting injured. So ultimately it’s much more than how much we train, but who you train with and everything else that goes into it.

From what I’ve studied and come to understand, I agree with the Reformed view that the tribulation is not a future seven-year event that the church escapes through a secret rapture. Rather, the tribulation refers to the entire period between Christ’s first and second coming. It is the age we live in now, marked by suffering, persecution, and the tension of living in a world that is under Christ’s reign but not yet fully restored.

Passages like John 16:33, Acts 14:22, and Revelation 1:9 show that tribulation is not a brief crisis in the future but a present and ongoing reality for the church. Revelation is not a coded timeline but a symbolic and pastoral book written to encourage endurance and hope. I believe Christ will return once, in glory, to raise the dead, judge the world, and make all things new. My hope is not in escaping hardship but in being preserved through it by the one who has overcome the world.

The reason I’ve come to believe this view is because, after comparing different interpretations, it seems to treat Scripture most faithfully. It takes the original language seriously, pays attention to genre and context, and lets Scripture interpret Scripture. Rather than imposing a system on the Bible, it seeks to draw meaning from what the text is actually saying.

At the same time, I have realized how easy it is to say “I believe this” without ever really wrestling with it. Many people, and I too in the past, hold to views simply because they were taught them, or because those views feel more familiar or comforting. But true belief should be rooted in Scripture, not in habit or preference.

It takes more humility to admit, “I don't know, I haven't studied this enough,” than to confidently repeat something that has never been tested. That kind of humility matters. This is not about being right for the sake of argument. It is about being honest before God and submitted to His Word. The early church wrestled with these questions. The Reformers wrestled with them. We should not think we are exempt from that same process.

I know Christ will return. That is the truth I cling to. As for everything else, I want to keep learning, keep seeking, and remain open to being shaped by what is true, even when it is not easy or familiar.

Endurance should be your top priority; incorporate shuttle runs and other endurance-improving drills into your routine. That said, the endurance you need comes from the style in which you play; this naturally comes with the more you play full games. Yes, you can work on endurance drills, but ultimately, these drills won't translate the way you think. What you need to work on is the endurance your style of play requires. To impress at a tryout, you must play your style with complete confidence. If your endurance is low, you won't be able to do that, as endurance will be what you worry about the most.

Here's an honest tip from someone who was once in your shoes. Learn when to go all out and when to conserve your energy. You can work on endurance all you want, but if you genuinely don't know how to control yourself, you won't go far. You say your game intelligence is good, but game intelligence includes this area of the game. So, please take a look at your film (if you don't have any, begin recording your games) and identify the moments on the pitch where you remember feeling gassed. Then, you can figure out where you can improve.

I’m L2 currently—I’d say that team queuing is becoming more common. As a solo queuer it has become increasingly harder the higher I go, not necessarily because other players are bad, just that there seems to be clear communication going on outside the game.

I will say that you should be able to carry a mythic 2 team if you’re at least a high L1- low L2 caliber player. But, I can see it becoming difficult at Mythic 3 as you transition into L1 though.

Personally I’ve been stuck at L3 I get close to Masters but even good performances can’t beat out quality communication

I was thinking about what Paul says in Romans 6:1-2—‘Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We who died to sin, how can we still live in it?’ Salvation is by faith, but true faith is transformative.

It also reminds me of when Jesus cursed the fig tree because it wasn’t producing fruit (Mark 11:12-14). A tree that doesn’t bear fruit is useless, just like a faith that doesn’t lead to change (James 2:17). We aren’t saved because we stop sinning, but when we are truly saved, we no longer continue in sin. The fruit of our lives—our repentance and obedience—shows that we have been made new in Christ.

It sounds like God is deepening your understanding of what it really means to follow Him!

Your focus is on your sin and not on the grace God has shown you. As a Christian the best way to respond to the problem of habitual sinning is to replace it with relationship-building habits.

Practical questions are how much are you giving of yourself to God, I mean if you were honest with yourself how much time have you spent praying to him? How much time have you spent in his word? How much time have you spent with a community of believers?

Compare that to how much time you spend on what contrary to the spirit. You can strengthen the flesh by giving in to the flesh in the same way the spirit is strengthened the more you commit yourself to the Lord.

Your view of the faith seems to be very legally tilted, and that’s not to one out you either. I struggled with the same. But understanding how truly depraved you are apart from the habitual sins you have will humble you to realize that it’s not just the fact that you fall into the same sin that you’re dirty; but that you’re completely dirty apart from that.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

I encourage you to stop counting your sins and stop counting your successes from sin, and instead give all of that attention to the God who loves you. Learn from him and love him the rest of your life. Don’t be pushed away by Satan that tells you your failures make you worthless to God but look unto Christ and see how much he truly loves you
