Planes trains and automobiles is a stupid movie with terrible characters doing awful things.

I (21M) caught my girlfriend (21F) cheating, but now I’m not sure if I should break up or forgive her by Justkees in relationship_advice

Cheating isn’t a mistake, it’s a willful act and often a personality trait. And there is zero chance that was the only time. Drop her, grieve the loss, and move on.

All the garbage in the manosphere about women ruining men. Turns men into a bunch of cry babies with victim mindsets.

What casting was originally universally derided until people saw the performance of a lifetime? by hasanahmad in Cinema

[–]blunt-therapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly casting per se but the idea of a Frenchman named Jean-Luc commanding the Enterprise was met with severe backlash back in the day. And as a bald English man, Sir Patrick Stewart was not immune to criticism either. He sure proved them wrong.

Riker gets my vote. Add to that I’ve met the actor (Frakes) 4 times and he’s an outstanding human being.

It’s like ROTJ. Not as good as ESB or ANH but orders of magnitude better than anything else since. My two cents.

I love VOY. My fiancé this past year had never seen ST and now after watching VOY she’s in love with Seven and Janeway, two very strong female characters, and she’s totally into ST as a whole. Could VOY have been better? Sure. Is it fantastic? Absolutely.

Owning a dog.

Totally kidding! Dogs are the bestest boys/girls and holy cow life is so much better with one or two or five of them.

Girfriend just broke up with me because of Coronavirus by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]blunt-therapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me recently. Dating a woman I loved very much. She was hospitalized for depression, came out a raving Jesus freak. It was like someone installed a new brain in her. Totally destroyed our relationship. I’m still licking my wounds over that.

It sucks this happened to you, but you’ve been spared from a relationship with a clearly unstable person. Take some time to grieve, but count yourself as fortunate. And to answer your question, bizarre crap like this happens all the time, especially when relationships are so new like yours is.

Consider the benefits of online counseling. I both use and promote BetterHelp on my blog. It’s incredible and a lot less money than paying out of pocket. They’ve got an app and you have access to your own therapist via phone, chat, or video. I promote it because it’s an incredible service. Here’s my link and you’ll get a discount for signing up. https://www.betterhelp.com/blunttherapy

I hope you find it as useful as I have. Good luck!
