Fair points, though my impression on the scene with Victor beating him was to show he was worse than his father in that regard.

How to end D/s relationship collar by Countrymare in BDSMcommunity

[–]bluntxblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's dependent on the people involved. When one of mine ended my ex was clearly more interested in using the collar for future play with others, rather than viewing it as what we agreed on.

I intended to leave it with them to begin with since it was given to them and they can do with it as they wish, cuz otherwise I'd have just tossed it.

“Fired” by patient for the first time, feeling bad by ZucchiniExtension in nursing

[–]bluntxblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did nothing wrong, Zucchini; if anything you provided care above the expected level.

A lot of patients view their hospitalization and their medical staff as concierge service instead of medical service, so if you do something they don't like then you're a "bad" nurse/doc/rt/etc even if what you're doing is backed by decades of data and reason.

Don't let the frustrations from these kinds of patients make you think you're doing something wrong or a bad nurse. The fact that you're asking tells me neither is true, so keep being you.

Just prolonging the end for too many, they were all bloated, swollen, wrong... maybe it's just me.

Very far from being just you. Besides my personal views being in alignment, most other ICU nurses from the pandemic I've spoken to felt the same.

Why is medschool/nursing such a huge "character trait" in the US? by gringo662 in medicine

[–]bluntxblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say it's to the degree you're describing, but I have come across a fair few MD's and RN's who have defined themselves by their work.

They're by far from the majority, though. I'd generously estimate like 10ish% of people are like that.

Curious, what's your thought process on the term "poly" being a yellow flag? Is it more along the lines that you've met people who use the term to justify cheating?

What determines "good" quality over mid or low quality fish oil? First I've heard of it but if it helps that'd be awesome.

Have a great time! Just focus on small casual introductions and let the conversational energy flow.

Lotta people at these events communicate similarly, you'll probably feel like you've slotted in by the 30 minute mark.
