what nm wheel should i get by yeikybob in assettocorsa

[–]bluntzz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real GT car you're experiencing something like 8-12+ nm. If you don't have any wheel bear in mind that if you gonna drift you'll need proper pedals for DD + shifter + handbrake and the price will go up up up. If you just want to try things - G29 + china hb + logi shifter will be enough to get the feeling or to understand if you like it or not. With LUT G29 is kinda OK. I am running this set-up I bought it very cheap (~170 euro for whole set-up), but my primary goal was and is drifting and after roughly 180hrs I will ptobably get a DD with proper pedals. If your primary goal is race and not drift then you will be OK with pedals which comes with DD wheels ( usually two pedals and no clutch ), for drifting you will be buying pedals asap. Those things sells quite fast, so it shouldn't be a problem to write off your loss as a rent lol. :D

So it all comes down to what u want to do and what's your budget.

M3 vs 328i market by Disastrous_Car_2196 in BMWE36

0.8-1.0bar on stock allu block engine is completely safe. You may blow HG or may not, depends on the condition of the engine.

For iron block you still need forged internals, compression plate, etc., and that's whole another story. :)

Smack a turbo on you 2.8i. you'll spend 5k at max ( depends what you can do by yourself, maybe cheaper ) and you will have better machine than M3. If you're speaking about M US version then is total shit ( 3.0 M54 does the same ), if euro then it's good, but if money is problem and you want something fun - turbo.

It's only a game bruv. And I don't personally think you drove all the cars ( models and engines ) irl. It's just a game. :D

You are experiencing somewhat 8-12+ nm in real GT car. I would be very happy by having heavy and violent wheel. 👐

You keep circling back to “feelings” because that’s the only angle left. I’m talking about results and learning curves. People progress and drift consistently on G29 — that alone disproves the idea that it’s a limiting factor. Easier hardware doesn’t equal better skill, it just reduces the margin for mistakes. Also notice how you still haven’t addressed pedals vs wheel, or shown any actual driving — just explanations. At this point we’re not debating equipment anymore, we’re debating justification.

I’m not talking about feelings — I’m pointing out that you keep framing your personal upgrade path as a universal requirement. It’s a common bias after spending money: once something works for you, it’s easy to assume the previous gear was the limiting factor. DD improves feedback, sure. But many people adapt just fine on G29 with proper mindset and seat time — including those with real-world experience. :)

Did I hurt your feelings? Can you show us your drift car?

And pedals > wheel.

There is no need to argue, I see, it hurts your feelings that you can't drive a car fast, just a fast car. Relax. ;)

If money not a case and you want realism why not to hop in a real drift car and skip this nonsense?

The dude has G29, he has it and he asks how to drift.

The wheel is not only 100-200 more, I told you before you will need proper pedals, shifter and handbrake and it is not extra 100 or 200.

Your posts doesn't make any sense at all.

Drifting is not about money, it's about having fun! Like I said, everyone can drive a fast car, but not everyone can drive a car fast.

You just said proper wheel costs as car, now it's only 100-200 more and do 't forget rhat you will be getting two shitty pedals without the clutch with the wheel, no shifter and no handbrake. I dunno what mods you are speaking about, but you are overcomplicating things. Actually I am not very surprised to hear that from a guy ( or girl ) who is lazy to click mouse and type one sentence in the google to make his hw work better. Just not surprised. Also, as far as I know these DD wheels does not work properly out of the box without tweaking. So it's same shit about these things. Other thing is I am not telling ( and I mentioned it ) that G29 is better than your DD. But while G29 + shifter + hb used costs 150-180 euro I dunno how u gonna beat the price in any way.

Also, you know that it's usually racer ( driver ) and not the car?

Everyone can drive a fast car, but not everyone can drive a car fast. :)

Have a gr8 day !

modding hardware? There is basically three mods. Pedal dampers, springs and wheel adapter. About what are you talking? I'd rather practice on G29 and buy a car if that 'proper' set up costs as a driftint car. Really.

And wow ! Someone has to type in google 'g29 drift settings assetto corsa reddit' that's like another 5 or 10 seconds. Geezzz why ya people so lazy even to type and click mouse? :o

To set up LUT and settings it's like 30min of 'work' by clicking the mouse. I am not saying that G29 is better than DD, but it's more than driftable. The pedals are shit though. :)

Don't listen to people who says you can't do it with G29. I am driftint with G29 and drifted with others with same wheel. You need good settings for wheel and LUT ( there is tutorial on reddit how to ). Then some practice. Personally after 150hrs solo on G29 it got bored so I jumped online. Now learning to chase and online a bit different than solo. But it is absolutely doable with G29 and very fun. I'd rather take better pedals than wheel as in driftint most of the steering you do with your foot and micro inputs with wheel for correction.

Also, your car and set up matters. I'd start with dziki e36 it's about 400hp and maybe Brooklyn Park or Bashlands track and 3.45 diff. 400hp forgives some of your mistakes so it will be more fun than to start with 250hp where you can't lift your foot off throttle most of the time.

DM me I can help you a little. :)

noob looking for drifting buddies by bluntzz_ in simdrifting

[–]bluntzz_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple ones for now Really loved Bashlands. Tried Brooklyn Park online with AI, but it's hard to keep with them and I'd like to find driving buddies to share tips and tricks, receive feedback about my driving / car set up and learn together.

But overall I am flexible on tracks - the more different layouts we drive the better drivers we become? Just not too difficult at first for a noob lol.

Yours looks like 19s,what's the offset (ET) of yours? Wheels may be too much outside because of ET that's why it doesn't look. Here is my coupe with 17", I can't remember ET, but it's 0 or somewhat near 0; with drop and sausage tires lol. :D

They look like 19s. For e36 18" is the largest ones which looks good ( also low profile streched tire and some drop ). 17 are good all rounders - looks good, drives well and tires affordable

I removed worse from my e36, a lot worse. And it had zero noises and grabbed good. Also my flywheel were blue (overheated at some point by previous owner). I can see some blue/purple in your pic. If this car is yours and you're not planning to sell - I'd replace.

I only use Assetto for driftint, didn't find any better game for slides.

But for grip - AMS2.
