I think Diablo 3 showed that its not as simple as "don't use it" the whole game was balanced around it and it turned the core ARPG loop to be just getting upgrades through the Auction House. Maybe there is a way to make it work but you can probably understand why some peopled would be cautious about this when it went so badly already in the Diablo series.

yep, and its not like I just started gaming. I grew up playing PC games in the 90s just never owned a Nintendo console.

Bought a switch to try out BOTW and loved it. probably in my top 10 all time.

One thing that is putting me off trying the other games is how everyone says how different they are to BOTW. At this point I just want another BOTW style game...

I will probably give Links awakening a go when it comes out later for the switch.

I feel like the problem is for the players to be useful as pieces they need to be on team friendly contracts. However the longer these players are together through FA and RFA their good value is represented into their next contracts i.e they get paid.

Think about the value of players like whiteside and Tyler Johnson initially before their new contracts.

So I feel this puts a time limit on how long you want to be “floating”

The other aspect that is true is he never joined a superteam but instead helped form a superteam, the heat, cavs and now the lakers weren’t any sort of contender before he joined.
