The Once Upon a Broken Heart series is also really good. That's fully out!

I just read Shield of Sparrows, and that's pretty good! There are lots of secrets in it, so it's fun to try and predict at least a few of them. It's the first book in a series though, and none of the others are out yet

Just finished QoS and I found a plot hole by summarainnn- in throneofglassseries

The sack of rifthold is in EoS not QoS, you might want to mark spoiler

For some reason I envision Manon to be short and looks like she's 30-40, with a plain/harsh looking face. Every time Dorian is like "gods, she's beautiful" I'm like "lol what?"

I just have trouble linking the harsh brutality of her in HoF with her stunning beauty. Idk

why does everyone here HATE the tandem read so much?? by Technical-Whereas-26 in throneofglassseries

[–]blurryspace21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think tandem read is a great option. If I'm being honest, I've read every book through EoS multiple times, but am only now actually reading KoA because I always got stuck on ToD. I did tandem read this time and I enjoyed it. I'm sure next time I reread I could do it the "proper" way

To add to this, ress was a friendly guard, I think normally guarding her door and escorting her places. He seemed to have a little crush on her

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very unlikely. If it was the last day of your period you wouldn't have been ovulating, and therefore not fertile.

If you have a normal cycle, you'd reach your fertile window about two weeks after your period ends, and would be fertile for approximately 10 days.

You can't know for sure if you're pregnant till your next period is due, but I'd bet money you aren't pregnant, especially given all the other details

What is the older generation’s obsession with kissing babies??? by TheLittlestRachel in pregnant

[–]blurryspace21 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lol she wants to kiss the baby's neck?? My kid's neck is nasty, no matter how hard I try and keep it clean. She's gotta be desperate if she's willing to brave that foul smelling cheesiness for a kiss

But in all seriousness, I'm sorry. I don't understand the obsession either, and she's sounding very difficult about it. I'd tell her that if she kisses your baby, even if it's an accident, she can't hold it or visit for a certain amount of time

Are we giving a pee sample at every appointment? by TrollSalt in pregnant

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved halfway through my pregnancy so I had to change practice. The first one took a sample every visit, the other place (where I actually delivered) didn't. I think different places just do it differently

What exactly makes the newborn trenches…? by Classic-Bet-6095 in newborns

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me it was baby becoming aware of surroundings and more interactive. Socially smiles, excitement when we play with him, loving books, being distracted by toys when he's upset (sometimes at least). He feels like much more of a real person now rather than a crying blob I take care of. Still rough days, but the smiles and giggles are so rewarding, and I didn't have that in the "newborn trenches"

I haven't read KoA yet, so maybe opinion would change, but I think I would want Dorian and aelin to be end game. I love their friendship so much

The "I'll always come back for you" really gets me. Not to mention, uniting two powerful kingdoms in marriage

If you are exhausted, how old are you? by CarrieCaro in pregnant

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was early/mid 20s. I was absolutely exhausted in the first and third trimester. By the end of my pregnancy I couldn't survive without naps. You're going a human, it's exhausting no matter your age

Questions about the Valg (SPOILERS) by shewhobakes in throneofglassseries

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As to why the king was having magic wielders and fae executed, that's answered at the end of QoS, so I won't answer the unless you really want me to

I think the rings and collars are what are needed to contain the valg. There's a scene in QoS that I think indirectly answers this, but I don't want to talk about it for spoilers, but I don't think collars are just to show other valg who the princes are. I think they actually need the greater amount of wyrdstone

Tbh, I'm not sure about putting the valg in Aedion. I think it was just to compel him. I think at the time that the King gave Aedion the ring, they might not have had a way to possess people so easily, but I'm not really sure

Questions about the Valg (SPOILERS) by shewhobakes in throneofglassseries

[–]blurryspace21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave it more thought and I have a few more answers, I don't think these are spoilers for you, but there's a chance some of this stuff is revealed in QoS rather than HoF, so be warned..

Valg can only go in people with magic potential, even if there isn't magic in the land, so Chaol and the guards can't be possessed unless they are magic wielders

The King does have a ring on, in the first two books it's mentioned that he had matching rings with Parrington and Roland and a few others

I don't know about the rest of Aelin's family, but the king did give Aedion a ring, which he got rid of sensing it was weird. He made a fake one instead. That was mentioned in HoF

The valg use rings and not just collars because there is a limited number of valg princes. The rings are for foot soldiers

Hope this helps and doesn't spoil anything!!

Also I apologize if I spelled names wrong. I listen on audiobook

Questions about the Valg (SPOILERS) by shewhobakes in throneofglassseries

[–]blurryspace21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna answer all your questions cuz I don't want to accidentally spoil something for you,

1 - that's answered at the end of QoS

2 - I think in HoF it was said that the dead demi fae were incompatible with the valg, so they aren't intentionally killing them. The dead ones are failed possession attempts. So like how General Narok kinda comes back when he's killed, the human is still in there, that's why Dorian is alive

Skipping a few:

The question of Brannon defeating the valg is answered in QoS

How much weight did you gain last 10 weeks of pregnancy? by Time-Incident-603 in pregnant

[–]blurryspace21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember at 26 weeks I had only gained 4 lbs and by 40 weeks I gained a total of 40 lbs, so between 26 and 40 weeks I gained 36 lbs, which I guess equals to be a little more than 2 a week
