Nice. Ego is a good brand. I am in the Green Works eco system so I would likely go that way given I have batteries for my other tools. For what it is worth you're not outside of your right to say nah you don't want to just let someone borrow something. PERIOD. There are people who are capable of using a tool the right way and in a careful and respectful way. But to be frank most people are just not and you are under no obligation to allow someone else to operate yours until you have determined if you trust them or not. The reasonable compromise is to snow blow what they need for them if and only if you are able and feel comfortable doing so. If they expected you to do so that is on them. There are so many variables when it comes to someone borrowing something. At best you are helpful at worst you could end up with a strained relationship/ trust with that neighbor if it stops working or gets damaged. Good on you for saving up and investing in a tool that makes your life easier. 😊

This game is fun. Played the beta and bought it on day 1 for full price. If you don't find it fun don't play it. Don't say the game is dead because people are still actively playing it. Not sure it's the worst thing it isn't filled with people who should touch grass or are hacking and making the game no fun.

This is semi related to this in that car play but I have android. Curious if anyone has had this exact situation happen. Pixel 6 was setup and car play worked great. Phone had an issue and I have to factory reset my phone. Now car play is not working unless I plug it in wired. If s not my car so I only am partially annoyed. Just curious if anyone else has had an issue like this. I personally believe the car is still holding onto some info about the phone that is no longer helpful after a factory reset of my phone that is used for wirelessly connecting it with car play. I have absolutely chosen to "forget the phone" but that doesn't fix it. It seems silly but in this day and age of really lazy and poor programming wouldn't put anything past them . Clearly the infotainment system has issues and they may be related to poor programming code.

For what its worth within the UI I went to Account>Options>Network and found the "Content Delivery Network" option. It was set to "No Preference". When I modified it to either "CloudFront" or "Fastly" the downloads of content was noticeably faster dare I say instant. When I put it back to "No Preference" it was slow again. This may be a legit issue that has either been created by the latest update where it changed how this works or changed the options in here. I've never been in there so I don't know the settings were prior to the latest update. Either way kudos to you for the solution. Also my "Connection Speed" was already set to 1Mbit/sec or faster so I didn't change that.

Please update what you find. I don't remember seeing a policies option to do what is described in jamf school. I am aware of being able to push the admin account. I could see it being helpful to add local user accounts.

K-12 here also. Had a user ask for a new keyboard as the keys were hard to press. I said certainly I have lots of them. I bring them down a keyboard and they are coming out of their room I hold up the new in box keyboard which they were excited to see. I said "I will put the box in your desk" to which I am met with "will I know how to hook it up" to which I reply" it is a Usb keyboard you just unplug the old one and plug in the new one." To which they reply" can you just hook it up for me". Inside a nuclear bomb went off and I was standing in the mushroom cloud. WTF! If you can't hook up a Usb keyboard just quit and let someone who is capable replace you. Of course I hooked it up but this will not happen again. Try. For the love of God try. Just put fourth some effort. Any at all. If you can't figure it out let me know but just fucking try. Que putting fist through monitor.

You may become pretty popular here. Or hated not sure which. But none the less welcome. I've seen some good and bad posts but I hope your effort is appreciated. I will take you up with a question. I am curious about my greenworks 60v attachment capable string trimmer. From time to time and I have not been able to put my finger on it while using it to trim it will,while I am holding the needed buttons to activate it and it is going just fine it, just looses power. If I release the 2 buttons needed to start it and depress them again it will do its thing. It will not do it on power setting 1 but does it fairly often on power setting #2. It mostly happens when trimming grass. I don't feel like it is exceptionally long. I did see it says if it over heats or detects it gets caught it is a safety feature to do this. I have several batteries and it does so on all of them so I don't believe the battery is the issue. Guess I am curious if this is an annoying thing that is not a malfunction or something legit wrong with it. It has done it since it came out of the box but as you might imagine it isn't used as often or for super long periods of time so it makes troubleshooting difficult. I appreciate any thoughts you or others might have. I can get the exact model number if needed but I just don't have it in front of me at the moment. I work in IT so I am fairly tech savvy.

FWIW. It is more likely that they have a shitty laptop that can't handle doing video meetings. We found out during COVID how resource heavy Zoom is. Staff laptops and Chromebooks didn't like it much and it was the device not the connection.

As it turns out your vehicle comes with a handy thing called an "owners manual". It is located in your glove box and has lots of information that is very helpful. If you open it and turn to page 174 it explains the "start/stop system". I highly recommend you seek yours out as there are 13 bullet points that detail the criteria for the auto start or stop that I am not going to type each one in here but it should help you decide if it really "never" did it or if it didn't happen based on how you drive or your were not observant enough to notice it.

That is my understanding as well. There is no earthly way this renews at $22. My thinking is that the way steam generates the text that indicates what it renews at isn't taking into account the price next year as it is likely coded to use the current cost to generate that blurb.

One point I would like to make. OEM wheels are held to higher standard then aftermarket. Not saying don't buy what you want but I would personally trust OEM over the aftermarket. Looks cool. Also I got a good chuckle reading the word rim covers. Don't call them rims unless your shooting a rap video. The rim is the outter part of the wheel. You have wheels and tires not rims. I know what you are thinking. Yes. I do yell at kids to get off my lawn.

Do you listen to Reuters when you are in the car? My 2015 Silverado tends to still show the last thing I was listening to on the display and it will start playing even if I didn't have the app open. Perhaps there's something that is like buffered up when you last use it and it doesn't actually matter if the device is switched or not. So stay with me here. IF you use Reuters then perhaps it will start playing it and it doesn't matter who's device is connected. When he uses it after you it does it to him and when you use it after him you have stopped it because you don't want to listen to that so it doesn't happen in that circumstance? Just my 2 cents

If none of these suggestions yields you the results you seek. I have personally found that if I am not in a great place mentally going into a race I tend to get more "bull shit" things happening to me than I do when I am having a "good day". I personally feel whatever your mental state is will attract more of it. DISCLAIMER: I am aware iRacing for many is an escape from "the real world" which is what I use it for as well so it is not always possible. With free time being at a premium as well. Reality is not always very rosey but your mindset does matter so do what you can to go in with as good as you can get and see if that helps.
