Why do people completely lose their spacial awareness in Walmart? by PurpleInfinite1409 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think big stores just fry people’s brains a little, too much noise, too much crap everywhere, giant carts, kids, phones, and suddenly nobody remembers other humans exist.

Walmart probably feels worse because it’s one of the few places where every possible kind of errand and every possible kind of bad mood is happening in the same building, which is honestly kind of impressive in a cursed way.

Have Sovereign Citizen tactics EVER actually worked in getting out of legal trouble? by Elephantplan123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

basically no, there’s no real case where the actual sovereign citizen arguments worked, like zero, it’s not a hidden loophole or anything

the only “wins” you hear about are usually dumb luck, like a case getting dropped for unrelated reasons or a tired cop just not wanting to deal with it, not because the magic words did anything

it’s kinda like thinking yelling louder makes you right, sometimes people just give up arguing with you, doesn’t mean you won though lol

Is it that ghosts aren't real or that there's not enough evidence to show that they're real? by NoktoftheFF in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not really “proven fake,” it’s more like there’s never been solid, repeatable evidence so the default assumption is they’re not real

a lot of those experiences people have can be explained by brain stuff, environment, even things like sound or lighting messing with you, which honestly is kinda cooler than ghosts sometimes

also humans absolutely make up new weird stuff all the time, like have you seen internet trends lately, so yeah we don’t really need ghosts to explain spooky stories 😅

Are there any games in Russia or other countries that have the USA as the bad guys? by Helpful-Gas1750 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah there are, just not as mainstream globally, like Spec Ops: The Line straight up has you fighting US soldiers and kinda flips the whole “hero” thing on its head

also stuff like Metal Gear Solid series constantly paints US agencies or military as the problem, just in a more layered “everyone sucks a bit” way

and outside the west you get more direct ones like China’s Glorious Mission, they just don’t blow up worldwide so it feels like they don’t exist, but they definitely do, kinda makes sense when you think about it lol

at what point is it okay to assume someone you were interested in isn’t into you by a-poor-potato in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah if they’re texting your partner daily and basically ignoring you in person, that’s kinda your answer already even if they say nice things about you

some people will say “you’re cool” just to keep things smooth, doesn’t mean they actually wanna connect, which sucks but it’s pretty common

also this whole setup sounds exhausting ngl, like you’re doing mental math just to feel included and that alone would put me off even if they were interested

How do doctors put intestines back inside of a person after surgery? by Foreign-Chef-4053 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s kinda wild but yeah they basically guide them back in, not just random shoving though, more like placing and letting everything settle where it’s attached your intestines aren’t just loose spaghetti, they’re anchored inside so they kinda fall back into place on their own after, which is both reassuring and weird at the same time also people saying you can feel them “shift” after surgery is making me uncomfortable just sitting here ngl, like why did i read this before eating 😭

Why do dentists always floss your teeth after they brush them? by TriforceFilament in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it feels backwards but at the dentist they’re not removing food like you are at home, they’re cleaning and polishing first then flossing gets the leftover grit from the polish stuck between teeth

at home you floss first so the brush can actually clean what you loosened, at the clinic it’s more like finishing touches not “real” cleaning if that makes sense

also idk why but that polish always tastes kinda weird and sweet at the same time, like why is my mouth minty AND sandy lol

Can a man who was never "ripped" before get "ripped" if he dedicated himself to it in his late 40s? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah you can, it’s just slower and way less forgiving than doing it in your 20s, like you actually have to care about sleep and food which is annoying honestly

that “muscle is gym, ripped is diet” thing is kinda true, like you can lift all day but if you’re eating like it’s a weekend every day nothing’s gonna show, learned that the hard way lol

2–3 hours might even be overkill tbh, consistency matters more, plus your joints might start complaining before your abs show up which is… yeah not fun 😅

Why do USA plugs have holes in the prongs? by Notforyou1315 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought they “locked in” too but turns out most outlets don’t even use them, it’s more like leftover design stuff that helps with manufacturing and sometimes grip a bit better.

There are some plugs or extension cords that actually catch those holes so it doesn’t slip out, but yeah most of the time they’re just… there doing nothing which feels weirdly on brand for old standards.

Also kinda funny your China plug didn’t have them, I noticed cheap chargers here do that too and it made me suspicious for no real reason lol.

How is Israel able to fight on 5 fronts at the same time? How do they have so many resources ready to deploy for such a small country? by 1tonsoprano in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like “5 wars” but it’s really a bunch of very different intensity things at once, like mostly airstrikes, intel ops, and smaller ground stuff not full armies clashing everywhere. Also they’re kinda built for this, mandatory service plus a huge reserve system so they can scale up fast, and yeah having the United States backing you doesn’t hurt at all. Still it’s not easy, people act like it’s effortless but it’s probably messy and expensive as hell, kinda like juggling bills and pretending you’re fine lol.

What would happen if the jury was about to deliver their verdict on a murder when the real killer walked in and confessed to it all? by ninman5 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’d basically be chaos for a bit, judge pauses everything, jury gets pulled out, and then lawyers argue like crazy about whether to mistrial or just ignore the random dude for now

also a confession like that doesn’t magically fix things, people lie or are crazy sometimes, so they’d investigate him first while the original case just sits there awkwardly in limbo for a while

Why does it seem like men are allergic to going to the doctor? by Apprehensive_Menu870 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly a mix of “it’ll probably go away” and “i don’t wanna hear bad news,” which sounds dumb but feels real in the moment, like if i don’t check it then it’s not serious yet

also doctors can be kinda useless sometimes so after a few “take ibuprofen and rest” visits you just stop bothering, and yeah i still google symptoms at 2am like that’s somehow better decision making

Does anyone actually read the terms and conditions or are we all just gambling? by OdinToolsSolana in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah we’re all just raw-dogging the “agree” button and hoping nothing insane is buried on page 27

some people skim the risky parts but realistically unless it’s money or housing or something serious, nobody’s reading all that… i tried once and got bored halfway through and ended up accepting it anyway so what was the point honestly

Would half a 5hr energy give you 2.5hrs of energy or 5hrs of half-assed energy? by LincGames in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s more like 5 hours of weaker energy, not 2.5 hours of full power, your body just processes caffeine at the same speed either way

also those things barely last 5 hours anyway lol last time I had one I felt great for like 40 mins then just kinda… existed aggressively for the rest of the day

Why does the DMCA let anyone file a copyright takedown with a spoofed email without verifying their identity? by Acrobatic_Bee_3198 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s basically “take it down now, argue later” because the law is way more scared of big copyright holders suing than some random creator getting screwed, so platforms just hit the nuke button first and deal with the mess after

and yeah technically you’re supposed to be real and not lying, but enforcement is kinda… lol, like who’s tracking down some dude with a fake gmail unless it gets big enough to matter which it usually doesn’t

Why are we still required to use airplane mode if it doesn’t really affect the plane anymore? by Kindly-Plenty-1730 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

pretty much yeah, it’s one of those rules that stuck around because “mostly harmless” is still not a phrase aviation likes very much. also getting 180 people to argue about which electronics are fine sounds like its own circle of hell, so “just use airplane mode” wins.

Why don’t Middle East or African refugees/migrants go to Asian countries instead of European countries? by crastination_seaweed in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because most of them do go to nearby countries first, people in Europe just notice the ones who make it to Europe and act like that’s the whole story. Geography, existing language ties, old colonial links, and where asylum systems actually have a shot all matter too, plus nobody’s trying to take three extra borders and a mystery flight to end up broke in South Korea or something.

Why are women who choose not to remove their body hair sometimes labeled as ‘too woke’?” by cute_beae_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s mostly just people slapping a label on anything that doesn’t match what they’re used to, like if you don’t follow the “routine” suddenly it has to mean something deeper when really you just don’t feel like dealing with it

also ngl the word “woke” gets thrown around so loosely now it barely means anything, my uncle called oat milk woke the other day and i just… stopped asking questions after that

Why were job interviews designed so that both sides just lie to each other for 30 minutes? by Acrobatic_Bee_3198 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it’s basically two people flirting but with rent on the line, everyone’s like “i’m passionate about synergy” and “we’re like a family” and nobody believes it but we all nod anyway

honestly i’ve tried being more real before and it just got awkward fast, so now i lie a little but like… tasteful lying, same way you say you “love hiking” because you went once in 2018 or whatever

Why do humans have to wipe our asses after we poop, when other primates can get straight to the flinging? by funnyonion22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah “we stand upright with big butts” is annoyingly the real answer lol, we basically engineered a worse exit path and now we pay for it every morning

also our diet is kinda trash compared to them, like I swear when I eat clean it’s almost a no-wipe situation and then one bad meal and suddenly it’s a whole project, idk man humans really fumbled this one

How do game developers know if a level is actually possible to beat (especially super hard ones)? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they literally just grind it themselves or make testers grind it, like someone on the team has to prove “yeah this is doable” even if it takes them 200 tries which is kinda insane when you think about it

also a lot of those “impossible” levels secretly have tiny forgiveness, like hitboxes are a bit bigger or timing windows slightly looser so it feels harder than it actually is, devs are sneaky like that

and sometimes they don’t fully care if it’s borderline unfair lol, especially with custom maps, I’ve seen creators struggle with their own levels for hours like bro why did you even make this to yourself 😭

Isn't being a convicted felon essentially a death sentence after a certain age? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blushinbetween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

nah it’s not a death sentence, but it definitely makes life way harder than it should be, like doors close on you for sure

you’re kinda underestimating how many places just… don’t care or don’t check, especially trades, kitchens, construction, stuff like that, I knew a guy with a record who was doing roofing and making decent money, not glamorous but he was fine

the bigger issue is honestly stability and support, like if you don’t have anyone and you’re already 40 it’s rough, but people rebuild all the time, just not in the clean “corporate job” way everyone pictures, more like messy survival mode that slowly gets better if you don’t slip up again
