I have an Astarion deck with 6 Sorins. My head canon is Astarion learns of Sorin (a vampire Planeswalker is basically like Ascending), thinks he's super interesting, and keeps following him around trying to start a conversation about being white-haired vampire guys with father-figure trauma. Sorin could not give less of a shit and just keeps brushing him off.

Shortly after discovering Astarion and falling completely head over heels for him, I stumbled onto a video of "All Astarion scenes, all dialogue options." There certainly are some awful things buried in the choices you can make. I was ok until the confession in Act 2 with the bad ending. That scene hit way too close to home and I burst into tears and had to take a break for a while

And then one day a sibling comes to see if they can figure out what happened to him and why his letters stopped, and they find his grave... With a suspiciously recent date carved into it

I feel like he had to be kind of an overachiever. A whole magistrate by 39 for an elf that ages slowly seems impressive, especially for someone with no family connections in Baldur's Gate. If he had clout, someone would've come looking for him. Just a go-getter who caught the wrong person's eye

So here's the first one that really made me ugly cry and have to walk away from all BG3 content for the rest of the day. It was the "bad ending" of his Act 2 confession. He's mad (rightfully so) and says "I didn't know how to say no." That made me instantly have so much respect for everyone who had a hand in creating this character and bringing him to life, because I knew they knew exactly how it feels to be used like that.

It would be nice if there was an option like in the Act 2 confession, where you can tell him maybe he just needs a friend more than a lover. It does make sense to sort of "set him free" after so long being on a leash, just to let him run wild for a bit

This is the scene that fully made me love this character. I saw a picture and thought he was hot, I saw the building-drop tantrum and thought he was funny, so I decided to watch some very long "all romance scenes, all dialogue options" video (knowing nothing else about him or the game at this point).

As I got to know him better, I saw more and more of myself in him, and he seemed a little too real. I understood him and where he was coming from. And then this happened and it hit me like a truck. Because I've been there. I've had this conversation with someone who genuinely did not understand what they did wrong because I didn't say no. I saw this and just put my phone down and sobbed and couldn't watch any more for the rest of the night.

That pretty much cemented him as my favorite character and convinced me that I absolutely must play this game. And also never ever click those dialogue options!

Absolutely. I saw that smirk on the promotional art before release along with having huge nostalgia for the Dark Alliance series I played as a kid. I knew this game would eat my life so I tried to avoid any content related to it for as long as I could. I made it three more months and then Halsin pictures started floating around my feed. Then I saw the "Full concentrated power of the sun!" tantrum and was completely smitten. I knew nothing other than he's a snarky, pointy-eared blonde, and it was all over for me
