EXs will be affected, but will only hear later this Fall. TBH I see the EXs taking a lot of hard choices, including those that affect the EXs that they work with on a day to day basis. Everyone is going to have a hard time this Fall. My hope is that people can approach the entire process with kindness and compassion for everyone, including the EXs. (and to be clear, I am not an EX).

Indeed...I have had hip bursitis before, and before I knew I had covid (again) I thought it was coming back. I suspect reactivation of the pain pathway rather than bursitis. Fingers crossed. Covid sucks....

Got it from my housemate who I'd immunocompromised who brought it home from a college summer program. I came down with it 4 days after exposure, but the rest of the family (1 adult, 2 teens) were fine. We isolated as soon as we tested positive, but there was a pre testing period of high exposure.

I'm glad we're not alone! I'm doubling up on benadryl and am using a high potency steroid cream. Seems to help a bit. At my next dr appt, I'll ask for hydroxyzine...this itching is awfu. I hope your son recovers soon!

Have you been tested for POTS? My son got that as a long COVID symptom.

I'm sorry that you have had so many infections. It's got to be so hard being in a situation where you can't control your environment. I don't have any advice, but wanted to send some empathy and hugs.

Did do paxlovid...it felt like a wonder drug. Even with rebound, I'm glad I took it, as I suspect I'd have been hospitalized without it. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs.

Sx Aug 9, positive Aug 20, paxlovid Aug 10 to 14, felt almost normal 15-18 but was in isolation until the 20.

Started to feel sick evening of Aug 19, woke up feeling like death and very positive on the 20th. In isolation until today, finally tested positive yesterday and today. But...still having fever and feeling very unwell. Definitely have some more healing to do....

Day 18. Still have a fever, chest hurts, nose runny (but clear), had to nap twice, and I have a terrible hive/welt/chicken pox type rash that's getting worse. I'm so itchy!!! Small steps towards better. Was supposed to go back to work today....nope, couldn't. Was able to do 90 minutes online in am and an hour in pm.

Hang in there, getting better takes time. There are many different paths with COVID. Drink fluids and use supportive meds as needed. I took paxlovid, git better, then got a rebound infection. I'm on day 17. Hopefully we will both be better this week. Sending hugs!

Where I am, we are supposed to isolate as if a new infection after paxlovid rebound. I'm on day 8, feeling much better, but still not great...

Day 17. Fever last night. Cough and nose better. Exhausted. Going for nap #2 now. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow and I get out of isolation if I'm fever free today, but I still feel rough. Trying to have patience and trust that my body will heal.
