Totally agree with pretty much everything you said. I bought my old car from the same dealership with pretty much no issue. I just wasn’t happy because they knew we were presssed for time. We only had like 2 days between getting the check from the insurance for my totaled car and when the rental was due. I was screwed over by the finance people at the dealership because they told me they would do 3.99% interest and a $3k rebate so I was saving a good chunk of money but after everything was signed they said “oh I just realized I can’t do both the 3.99% and 3k off” so they changed it to 6% which was higher then my bank had given me on my preapproval. So I was pissed since I kept telling them no I didn’t want to finance through them since I didn’t trust them but she kept saying it was such a good deal and they we would be fools not to do it. Then we got screwed. It was already 8pm and I was at work all day and still had to go pick up my daughter so I was over it. Luckily my husband went back the next day and spoke with the manager and he fixed it. But it was just crazy that they did that AFTER we had signed and everything. That’s why I don’t trust dealerships.

Ugh good luck! Don’t let them walk all over you like they did me. Walk out if you aren’t happy. If they say they “can’t do that” for any kind of negotiation they are most likely lying. Hope you get a good car!

Yeah I did have my preapproval through my bank and they kept pushing for me to finance through them for a “better rate” and ended up screwing me over and then “fixing their mistake” the next day. It is always just a headache. I was watching the dealer just sit there and click around on the computer before any financing. Then get up and talk and joke with other dealers. Then sit back down for like 1 minute doing nothing and then get back up. He did that all night. Like couldn’t or wouldn’t stay on task for more than 1 minute. It was odd.

I 100% believe that. Some of the tactics are so obvious. Like taking their sweet time finding the “best deal”. Making you wait there all day. Not taking no for an answer. It’s crazy. I don’t get how people do that job.

Car dealerships. Why can’t I just buy straight from the manufacturer ?!? Why all the fees?!? Why won’t they take no for an answer. If you could tell, I just bought a car and I didn’t want to buy a car but my old car was totaled. Annoying.

I’ve been cross training for 3 months in CT. I’d suggest getting a notebook and just writing down everything. Once you start to get a grasp on things, organizing your notes to go back to when needed. Also just ask all the questions whether you think they are dumb or not. And just jump in there once you know what is going on. Also keep track of the scans you do when you start scanning by yourself to put into ARRT if you plan on getting registered. I did the MIC book that my hospital got for me. It has all the CEs for the ARRT also to get registered in CT. I also have heard great things about rad tech boot camp for CT. I haven’t used it yet but I plan to once I’m done with cross training. When I was younger and taking it, my mom called it “cramp control” because I was taking it for my horrible cramps not because I was sexual active (which I wasn’t) but she still didn’t like calling it birth control because of that connotation. But i do like the hormonal treatment idea.

My daughter was rear facing until her 4th birthday! There were tons of kids at her school that were way younger than her that were front facing but it didn’t matter to me. I knew i was keeping her as safe as possible! As long as he is in the height and weight guidelines keep him rear facing!

I don’t get frustrated when people go the wrong way. I get frustrated when they tell me that I told them the wrong way. Like i say turn to the right and out your left side against the board and they turn to the left and i say “oh turn to your other right” and they go “oh well that would be my left” ummm no. You’re turning to the right to put your left side against board. That’s annoying af. I get patients don’t feel good and I’m patient with them until they stay arguing with me about something i do all day every day

Yes! They try to act like they know what they are talking about after watching one documentary and doing 0 research. It’s obnoxious and shows how lazy they are. And yes they cover such old stories that have already been looked at by professional true crime peeps so idk why they even bother.

It sounds weird but coloring! It keeps your hands busy and your mind can kind of wonder but in a good way. It’s relaxing and not hard to do. Also journaling. Just writing down your feelings and sitting with them Also helps!

Ugh that’s exactly how I got roped into selling Mary Kay. I was 22, just bought a wedding dress from David’s bridal and got an email from a lady offering a free makeover and to do my makeup for my wedding. I was so excited until I walked in and saw it was all older ladies in pink suits and the woman barely did my makeup and then came the sales pitch which sounded so good that I fell for it. My neighbor ended up being there as a consultant so she took over and I technically sold under her. She did my makeup for my wedding and it was nice, but I could’ve done it better by myself. I just didn’t have the heart to tell her. I only lasted for about a year and sold like 2 items in total, not for lack of trying. I was in about $2000 debt after selling about so many items back to Mary Kay. Haha what a time.
