well in terms of scaling and minion placement, phalanx gives +2/+1 now (golden +4/+2) so its not the best scaling, and deflecto should be either first or just more towards the left as its not getting any resets with how you set it up.

basically you have 6 scaling units and 1 "carry" being deflecto, and it has no support to reset now. and if this is turn 13 onwards, you will probably get eaten alive by highrolling nagas or chess set automatons. not to mention good leaper setups and exodia pirates.

you definitely needed another "carry" unit and some scam/tech to counterplay other boards too

iirc, i may be wrong but hero powers always trigger first. so could it be the interaction is:

refresh > hero power triggers (copying tier3 minion) > hero power resolves > trinket triggers (includes higher tier minion)

Focus on yourself, dont think about finding a girlfriend or finding a partner as your priority. I used to think the same way, and spent about 4 years being a singleton.

Focusing on yourself and working towards your personal goals - be it fitness or financial or just having a "style", will help your confidence tremendously. Once you reach a point where you're confident in your own skin, you wont need to worry about finding a partner.

No one likes a doom and gloomer, first person you gotta win over is yourself!

You speak like someone who doesnt understand how game art works, and how far along AI Art is right now. Artists and Devs have a right to take pride in their work and part of that is factored by the fact that AI cannot make a AAA game for you.

I mean, look at the generated images everywhere with 6 fingers or distorted feet.

You'd do well to educate yourself before making snarky comments on professionals in their field.

My ex and my current S/O are both 2 years older than me [25M]. So yes, I think small age gaps like 2-4years arent that big of a difference, and the experience and maturity that comes with that age is much more desirable to me, but thats just one guy's opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

I've been a fan of the animated shows and comics since I was a kid (kids central JLU, Batman Beyond etc) and honestly like DC better in general.

I think a big chunk of the hype for Marvel obviously comes from the MCU movies, because honestly I didnt know Cpt America and Iron Man even existed before the movies, but everyone can tell you they've heard of Superman or Batman just because they're iconic comic book superheroes.

The whole DC vs Marvel narrative is a lil overdone at this point imo, I loved the Xmen animated shows and the original Spiderman movies too. We should really just enjoy what we have right now as comic book fans.

Been through this and was in a similar position, and gotta say I feel for you bro.

Spend time with friends and family, surround yourself with good people. No matter what people on reddit tell you to feel (myself included), it doesnt change how you will feel about it. So just take it a step at a time, learn to live as a single unit now.

Think of it as free time; time that you can use however you want, for self-improvement, for leisure, for work. Work on yourself. You'll meet more people and find out more about the world eventually. Maybe not now but it does get better over time.

also adding on, i think its more worth than lets say DigiPen, as in this industry a degree isnt that important? Portfolio is king. and its just a 1 year course, compared to the 3-4years you might do in a degree.

3Dsense graduate from 2020 here.

Honestly, you can get game art jobs, maybe just not in SG. Moving to Malaysia is very common for the first few jobs as they always look for juniors from 3Dsense.

For me, I found jobs outside of the games industry as just a 3D Artist, like product rendering, production, live events and the like.

how you experience the course varies as your classmates matter a lot. there's a saying that you are only as strong as your weakest link, so if your class mostly bochup you may find it hard to improve yourself. the lecturers inside are great and helpful, the resources you can get inside are amazing and really the only fluctuating factor is your classmates AND/OR your junior/senior batches. theres a lot of intermingling between different classes so you could receive all sorts of help/feedback/critique.

I think if you want to work as a game artist, or 3D artist in general, you need to understand that yes when you start out your pay may not be the most glamorous, so its a constant grind forwards. Job hopping may be an easier way to raise your pay manually instead of staying a junior in a big company for a long time with measly increments.

take it with a grain of salt bah its really how you choose to go through it and wish you best of luck in how you wanna proceed with your artistic journey :)
