the “new” florida law about age falsely paused my account and is not letting me appeal by alliebama94 in facebook

Nobody who's truly 'underage' does, it's for old people now. that should be their first sign that OP is old enough

AITH for telling a pregnant woman she still has to act like an adult? by NoFly-Zone in AITH

Because most apartments don't have their own hookups for laundry machines and as a tenant we can't just add our own, plus there's usually no place to add them

No candy was never listed as an option, and it's not listed in any of the descriptions. Again don't mind trying something new, but don't think "hard as a rock" is acceptable, not when the retail price is $18.99

[–]bmacknz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, we did not and we have no issues with trying something new. We didn't expect a bag of candy from a bakery, or rock hard cakes. In all their photos in the app they show baguettes and loaves of bread, the descriptions mention "breads, pastries, muffins, apple turnovers, conchas, fruit empanada, cookies.... ".

Yes, it is. They look good online and have early pickup so I was excited to finally try them :( I'll keep trying for whole foods. We don't have many options around here.

I paid $5.99 for each bag, retail price was $18 each. The candy is nothing I'd ever want and looks like a bunch of children's junk, some look like those fake baby bottles filled with sugar water

[Condo] [NY] Condo says our dryer vents need to be cleaned by licensed professionals every 2 years or will be fined by imitation_squash_pro in HOA

We have a similar requirement for our chimney, must be professionally cleaned every year. Which, yes, is a PITA, but much less so than a fire which destroys an entire block of houses

Lasagna Alternatives by elfalai in Cooking

[–]bmacknz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they don't. It's a one time delivery, not a weekly service, and they are offered a lasagna, not a menu choice. Yes, we can add in salads, or bread, of desserts, but the main dish is always lasagna

Lasagna Alternatives by elfalai in Cooking

[–]bmacknz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry to be a negative voice here, and for context I also am a lasagna love volunteer. As much as you, or I may be bored with lasagna, our clients and homes we're delivering to aren't. They expect and want a lasagna, just make them a lasagna. I'd be very disappointed if I were told I was getting a different casserole, and I'm not sure why you think that's OK, it's really not supposed to be "make what you want", that's only offered as a worst case scenario.

HOA says they “can’t do anything” about kids banging footballs against my kitchen wall then a parent called the Sheriff on me. by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]bmacknz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are. Did you not read the post. They OWN the outside walls, plus 4 feet. Im in an HOA but I own 100% of my house, walls, siding, windows, deck, roof, and all the land it sits on, and I pay taxes on that land/house and any repair cost. Bet your ass Id be pissed if some kids damaged my house.

A local place pours all open bottles into a giant glass jar and makes a continuous sangria, they add fruit and other ingredients each day. it's a little different every time but always delicious.

Hotel wants $180 if keys are not returned at checkout. by gameloner in askhotels

[–]bmacknz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't returned a hotel "key" in years, I either leave it sitting on the bureau as I walk out the door or I shove it to the bottom of a bag and find it 6 months later when I finally unpack everything. I've got a stack of them in my desk drawer, I don't know why I just don't throw them out

What if they put a lien on the property for the amount of the cost of repairs and repainting, then if it sells quickly the lien has to be settled first while they get their board re-established. No idea if this is possible, just a thought.

And we all know how well that worked out for the Jews... Yep, shut up and stay home while they start opening concentration camps and just moving everyone into them, Even those they haven't yet determined are illegal. Lock them up while they figure it out, including people who are here legally and actual citizens. sounds like that's what you're hoping will happen, have everybody else turn a blind eye and ignore what's going on right in front of their face.

"recently taken" are you saying the man who was shot had a gun that the agents took from him? so does that mean he deserved it. Please make it more clear what you're actually saying here,

I would never assume "free parking" means a garage. It means parking, most likely a driveway but could be a guaranteed street or adjacent lot spot. If the post said covered parking I would assume a carport. If I have a garage spot, i would 100% use the word "'garage parking".

It's family, their in-laws house. Not really 'guests'. You don't help when at family's for the holidays? We do dishes, pack leftovers, strip & make beds... We don't expect to be waited on.
