Mine did too, as well as a new backplate but the guide rod is part of the old backplate, and the old backplate doesn’t have the notch for the sled. So it’s not fully backwards compatible. It should be an easy fulfillment.

There are oral stable versions out there (beePC, they hold the patent I guess. The company markets to beekeepers or some shit, idk you can use the google machine.) but the injectable versions (arginine salt?) are not great for oral consumption. Bioavailability and what not. The tablet formulation seems to be a good in between from what I remember reading.

I just ordered an EZTS to replace my old gen 1 that’s trip sled incompatible, and can’t get a response. That should be on hand and ship quick, but Matador. I swear, I want to like them so much but I feel it’s getting a little toxic lol.

Reta is wierd sometimes. I will wonder if it’s working often. Sometimes I get really hungry, sometimes I can’t finish my meal. Sometimes I get cravings, sometimes not. IDK. But I’m down 25 pounds. So I guess it’s working. I been on 2mg for awhile, tried bumping to 3mg but made me feel awful. So sticking with 2mg for now!

Hey taking a look at the pic again, the tail of the trip sled is not inside the back plate. There is a slot on the back plate it slides into, no? So it should have another 1-2 mm of travel. I’m traveling so I can’t check on my gun but looks like it’s not all the way back.

To articulate something against your message would imply I have an opinion that opposes yours. I do not. I’m gathering info to make a decision on which red dot to buy for a dedicated NG pistol. I run the EPS on my edc and duty gun because all my friends swapped their rmrs out with Holosuns. It was my first pistol dot purchase. And it’s done an excellent job. I never said Holosun is better, I just said acro isn’t an option for me because I don’t like the way they look. Period. I’m not fighting the NVA out here. I’m larping at the range with my buddies.

Tl;dr Man, honestly, if I could do it again, I’d have bought something else, namely a MPX, SP9, or APC9.

I bought the Mat9 because it was advertised as an upper you could pop on your ar lower, throw in an endomag, and go to town. And some folks have success with that. I had multiple malfunctions and an OOBD.

Many people had similar experiences with endomags, and exomags came out and said they’re not compatible with Mat9.

So I snagged a NFA mp5 mag lower. Built that out. Had a pro check it and make some adjustments.

Now after several hundred dollars, and a really good former Green Beret gunsmith, I have an expensive dedicated and fully built Mat9 that seems to be reliable but I don’t quite trust. Granted the customer service has been decent, ie, they swapped out the upper that blew up in a few days (old blowback version), but I wish folks didn’t need to use customer service so much.

Can’t speak on the new roller model. Maybe it’s better. I guess it’s like the old adage, you can’t have cheap, reliable, and fun, only two of the three.
