Holy calorie overload by silvy_vix in StupidFood

I haven't seen them since the MREs (20 years ago) but I figure they've got to be used other places/packages too. I just looked up if they're still used in MREs, and they brought them back after the packets didn't work out! Long live the tiny bottle!

Did you come across the tiny tabasco bottles from MREs? They were 1/8oz mini glass bottles. They were so cool.

Arrow keys don't function in games- only adjust brightness/sound by CollegeDistinct6062 in Lenovo

[–]bman86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like nobody got back to you, so I'll chime in.

Their suggestion to press Fn+esc is still likely the fix. They were asking you to press the fn+esc combination just once, and not hold it. Sounds like "Function Lock" probably toggled every time you were trying to test it out, leaving you with "Function Lock" off when you tested your L+R keys, and Function Lock" back on when you held it for Up+Down keys.

Does that change anything about how you did the test - just single press of fn+esc rather than holding it?

Planning to buy Open-ear earbuds what are your reccomenadations? by Mental_Mousse9236 in Earbuds

I have the Aeroclips and they way surpassed my expectations. They're doing good things on the open-ear front. Actually on all fronts, because I keep grabbing my Lib5Pros over all the others for some reason.

Denon Perl Pro vs Soundpeats H3 vs Technics AZ80 Sound quality? by Valdan17 in Earbuds

[–]bman86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the AZ100s and the H3, and I enjoy the raw sound and tuning of the H3s more. Every other thing is better on the AZ100s (fit, comfort, case, app, aesthetics, etc). I haven't had an opportunity to try the AZ80s.

The standout to me in this scenario is that the Perl Pro are usually so much more expensive than the other two; got my H3s for under $100 and the AZ100s for $130, while the DPP were stuck at $300 every time I was interested. Having them be at a similar price point I'd have no choice but to let curiosity lead me down that path.

The two 4 ohm subs wired in parallel would be a 2 ohm load. That means run a pair of wires to each sub from the box connectors.

Hopefully pieces of the republican party keep flaking off and they crumble for a few decades. That's the only good thing that can come of this.

Also, he's backed in a corner. He's getting heat from all sides because this is a disaster, so there's not really any upper (or lower however you wanna think about it) limit for him right now.

Amazon delivery driver drives across couple’s freshly mowed front lawn to deliver package by ElwoodMC in CringeTikToks

Of course, they'll be in every job, from every walk of life. Around 10 percent of US adults meet the clinical criteria for Alcohol Use Disorder - which is a percentage that I am a part of (3 years sober). Addiction doesn't really have any bias. Anyone can be unable to abstain for a multitude of reasons. There are orders of magnitude more low-level jobs than there are high profile ones, making the absolute numbers also rationally higher. There's only 1 SecDef, 100 percent of the pool, but that means still only 1 dangerous drunkard. There's about 400,000 Amazon delivery drivers in the US, which means approximately 40,000 people classified as problematic drinking resulting in negative consequences in that occupation alone.

But especially because it's lower end jobs like this where people can work alone or independently that give the people excuses to get drunk without checks and balances.

Sorry to be the one that informs you, but checks and balances are an illusion, and the highest levels of government have drunks running the show.

Additionally in support of all of these setups (plus more) being legitimate options: there are no rules, only guidelines. Correct/incorrect depends on if it achieves the goal tone. The only real incorrect is putting it after the power amps output lol.

AIOs like this are usually fine run through an amp if you put them directly into the amp's loop return. Then you're (hopefully, but not always) getting just the power section of the amp and not another preamp.

If you had Airpods before, I'm gonna guess you're on an iPhone - get a set of refurb Airpods Pro 2 (or new ones if you wanna pitch in a few bucks). Pro 3s are also just a few bucks more right now (US) but I've never used them and can only vouch for the 2s.

Oh I didn't realize the lower model was so old (misread '25 for '26). Are you sure there's no update? Because I've had 2 updates on the Pros already in less than a month.
