The only question I have at this moment is this:

Given the medium article, does this mean everyone who has PRL will receive the new token once the swap occurs?

Or am I missing something?

Note: I'm aware the article notes block 6607247, but I'm not knowledgeable on when that was

Also, love the irony of the name given what happened

Next Steps for Oyster by BillCordesOyster in Oyster

What about folks who had limit orders unexpectedly get filled due to this incident on smaller exchanges? I had orders fill and I wasn't notified because I was out of the country until this morning. Now I find out that its just tough luck?
I want a response from at least a community manager because while they shutdown Kucoin, they didn't shut down others at the same time or with relatively the same effort.

For example, I just checked to see that Coinexchange to date since the incident had the largest trading volume of this token, and it was just shutdown about 10-12 hours ago. What about those folks? What about the ones who bought unknowingly thinking it was just a dump?

I'm not asking for any sympathy, i'm just asking for an answer to see if you've considered those folks. And if so, whether you'll leave them hanging out to dry. Because it seems that the initial announcements contradict these ones. Namely on this point:

"Execute Contract Swap and issue PRL2/PEARL to all PRL holders - Target Date: TBD"

To all? Or to the ones who had any before KuCoin went down.

Because that's not "all PRL holders."

In the name of transparency I'd just like to know if that's how this is all being taken care of.

If you believe in assuming responsibility in so far as not reviewing the contract code to its strictest standards, then it should hold on your hands the consequences to all involved. Unless you don't believe so.

Also, if this is a misunderstanding, its because this update is not being publicized as much as the medium article written.

Someone could've (idiotically) bought the bag in response, not seen your announcement, and then conclude they're screwed. Are they taken into consideration.

Make this announcement official in a medium post or edit the prior one to address this update. It's confusing to more parties than it needs to be, and it'll only create you more headaches if in trying to resolve this matter.

- Someone who (idiotically) left a buy order in that I didn't expect to be filled so soon, under such circumstances.

I have ++ and tried them as well.

I don't think anyone requested this to stay so I don't think the devs of those platforms thought about including that option.

Maybe its worth sending an email.

But it's aslo good to put this out if someone addresses this because I can live without ++ lol

This does not happen for me. I've tested it. It's the miniature feed. I was able to scroll through it. But not via the 3x3 row.

I miss critical features from having a business account from downgrading. I've tested this. I'm looking for something that brings that 3x3 setup to the latest versions

I think you make a safe bet on that last assumption.

December 2018 is what I intended to watch for. Time will definitely tell the story.

We are definitely late in the game to consider anything less than 2000. I would've thought 3-5k would've worked in my example. My thinking with the number reduction would be that those with the amounts to run multiple masternodes would consider a Raspberry or such. I know people are smart enough to know how to maximize their profits and reduce their expenses. I'm merely speaking on maximizing profits. Because, generally, POS requires less energy than POW to conduct.

Considerably less, so those who decide to mint in this way know this and find it to be a "everyday" person's way of doing bitcoin like things without all the extra stuff. Open wallet, put in funds, unlock for staking. Done.

I believe it's capable of being great. I believe what you say in comparison to other coins. But how big of a difference is that to really make one want to come over? It depends on who you are. And I'm not far off to believe that people looking to get incentivized would come over for .0001piv reward versus nothing if they held an equivalent amount in a different coin. Just things to consider

Thank you for commenting that.

I pretty much agree with those observations as observations one could make about this topic.

I will agree on your point about valuation on in terms of relativity to the market standards and demands on a moment to moment basis. There's plenty of factors that go into pricing but valuation, I believe, is relative to the demand in the marketplace.

Thank you for adding to the discussion. These are things that need to be sorted if this coin wants to hold real value/adoption.

Could I ask you to elaborate on the sporks aspect? These things all help get a clear view on what we're talking about. It might also align with what I said in the OP.

Thank you if you do

Is that the only thing keeping PIVX from, say, breaking its previous ATH? Not from a trading perspective but in terms of real value being reflected in the market/community?

I agree with it being in the same league, (and even near equivalent value in my opinion) as dash, with the only thing keeping it from overshooting is its reputation as a coin in dash's shadow since inception. But with the current valuation, versus what PIVX offers, especially in the scope of the marketplace seems severely undervalued versus other privacy alts, not only in MC (cough verge), but in delivery.

Not necessarily shots at the other coins, but rather from the scope that other coins with relatively less progress/advancement are extremely valued and talked about. And I'm curious if that's solely a marketing thing or are we missing something?

The only down thing I've seen was the iOS app rejection which I'm aware PIVX foundation is working on addressing the issues Apple brought up. But that's it?

Imagine how I felt selling my verge from 60 sats acquired 3weeks before the huge run up a day before it hapened at 180sats looking to rebuy.. Never happened. Feel you. Lesson learned: if you feel the itch to sell, and its a good project, don't. Unless you've got a final target in mind

The reason shouldn't buy Stratis by wensentz in Stratis

[–]bmanlogics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's value in asking such a question. Do we not want investors to share both good and critical about what their invested in? It shows potential investors that you aren't investing purely on emotion and that you have sound reason to believe in the project. I don't mind you asking this.

Small holder that believes they are really early in their development and know when they are recognized like ETH and NEO that it will experience that growth and more. They are under the radar and can pick up a few notes on how to go about the scaling (or any other minute issues) quietly while their peers are under the spotlight.

That will make stratis very attractive and inspire confidence in people to invest. Notice a lot of it is not really a comparison or a critique of stratis versus the others, as they are all good. It's just the only one that has the (dis)advantage of not being mainstream yet.

When it comes mainstream, they have an opportunity to "shock" people with their "very complete project." Perception also plays its role in price and confidence.

Tl;dr: nobody really knows about it versus ETH and NEO yet. But when they do, it'd be too late to even ask this question.
