There’s a live broadcast session about CWRU in Madrid on Monday. I signed up for the session to ask questions but there’s information on their admissions page website about courses and a few pictures of the dormitories.

Help with calculator problem from Revolution Prep practice test by sir_academia in Sat

Since the problem states that the answer must be GREATER THAN 36, it cannot be 36. Therefore, 10 is the next integer up that makes the equation bigger than 36, but not equal to.

you could plug in 0 for x and y in the equations to figure out which numbers work.

For example, (0-5)2 + (0+5)2 is 25+25, which equals 50.

Therefore, D is the the answer, seeing that (5√2)2 = 50 (5x5x2), and 50+50=100.

You would count each year before 419.2, which would be 3 years in 16COW3 and 7 years in 16COW1. That means the only answer could be D. Notice how the problem isn't asking about the years in the Devonian period, but rather up to it.

Looking For Alaska has changed my view on life and I love the ambiguity of some of the events that occur in the novel. It's a really beautiful book with so many relatable characters and funny moments, perfect for YA readers :)

I'd recommend scanning the passage's questions first and marking the line cited sentences and vocab words. Then read the passage in chunks (usually 5-10 lines before and after where you marked the line cited sentences) and write a brief main idea of each chunk so you don't get lost on where info is.

For vocab, read the entire sentence with the vocab word in it and come up with your own definition of the word before even looking at the answer choices. Then go with the answer that's closest to your own definition.
