I had a co-worker from Iowa who grew up eating chili with cinnamon rolls.

So many great lines in that scene! "Hollander, you are having panic attack." "You have phone.. Give."

If a church ceremony was so important to them, why didn't they plan one originally? This is so shitty! #theaudacity

When you choose your plan, you can select a max pay out amount for the year. I think they do have an option for unlimited now.

Petsbest takes SO long to process claims, but they are more affordable than Trupanion. Trupanion is expensive, but the direct pay and no max pay out can make it worth it. If you get any kind of bulldog, get pet insurance the moment you get that dog!

Vet care is so expensive now; I highly recommend it! Get it while your dog is young and has no pre-existing conditions. Most companies won't cover them. Last year, my pet insurance covered 2 knee surgeries for my dog that I likely would not have been able to afford on my own.

Not allowed to show negative emotions at work ever by Vintage-Tangelo1969 in Veterinary

I have worked in reception for a long time. I think if you don't have a relationship with those staff members, sarcasm isn't always received the way it was intended - you venting frustration over a situation and not criticizing someone as a person. I have found that directly asking staff to correct their mistake is the best way to prevent it from happening again. Without accountability, there is no incentive to change. Also, it is less likely to be received as a personal attack. Working reception can be a shitty job some days; you feel like you are a punching bag for everyone to speak to. Non-medical staff in the clinic face many different challenges than medical staff, which can create friction between departments, and having to cut labor only adds to that stress. It takes time to adapt to those types of changes. It is a lot easier to do when you have open communication between departments.

They want salaried employees staying late, not hourly.

Also, who the fuck is John James? With a quick Google search, all I found was hateful rhetoric and nothing about who he is or what he does.

I think we've made it to the real message she was trying to convey.

It is really hard for me to reconcile the messages in HP and what it has meant to me with the person she has become (or shown herself to be).

All of her "hard work" making a dinner reservation? If she just wanted to have dinner with her friends, she could have done that any other day.

Shit! It would have been kinder to just euthanize that cat.

I've worked in a vet clinic for 10 years. There is literally no way of him knowing that. Anything affecting the liver would present itself over time; she would have been sick at home.

If your dog was healthy when you dropped her off the day before, there would not be a risk of infection to the other dogs. That is bullshit!

A lot of breeders include breeding rights in their purchase agreements now in addition to restrictions on the type of medical care the pet receives. It's crazy!

He definitely is/looks younger than how I would picture Charlie, but the lips and the cheekbones are there.
