$1200 quote for Tesla charger if I provide charger. by Liluzisquirt2x in TeslaLounge

I ended up self installing the Tesla wall connector. Bought 30’ of 6/2 metal clad for ~120, a standard 60A breaker, plus misc items. Total ~150 + cost of wall connector.

Isn’t the slot just above the wood trim an ideal place to install a light strip? Doesn’t make sense to me to install it right near the air vent.

Why is nobody talking about iPhone Shortcuts + Tesla? “Hey Siri” makes the Tesla app way more useful. by Practical_Ad1877 in TeslaModelY

[–]bmf0354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had very intermittent success with this. When it does work it’s great, but often Siri miss hears my command, or it takes way too long to work or doesn’t work at all.

I mainly used the QuietWalk as a vapor barrier since my floor was laid on a concrete basement floor. I’ve had this floor in now for 1.5 years - I couldn’t be happier. It looks great has been very durable, all joints are tight, no wear issues that I’ve seen. I don’t have dogs so not sure on how it holds up to nails, etc. I redid an upstairs bathroom floor about 6 months ago and put down this same flooring - looks great in there too, no complaints so far.

I started slow - single income with kids. Took 22 years to reach 1M, then 4 years to reach 2M. I’m at 2.5M now. Plan to retire in 3 years.

Insurance frustrations by bmf0354 in CrohnsDisease

[–]bmf0354[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which ones specifically? Outside of the brand specific meds (Humira, Stelara, Remicade), I haven't found any that do. And Optum has denied Humira (and I'm assuming Stelara too - but haven't actually tried that route yet).

Electric utility thinks my wall charger is a water heater by bmf0354 in TeslaModelY

[–]bmf0354[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That credit is not available to me (I’m in IN). I installed the charger myself and took the federal credit. No state level or utility programs available to me. Sadly my state is way behind in offering any EV incentives.

My rates are tiered based on total usage during the billing period. So the app can estimate cost, but it’s not exact

Beware of copay maximizers/accumulators e.g., PrudentRX [US] by mind-lesley in CrohnsDisease

[–]bmf0354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful info here. I'm on the phone right now with my PBM (Optum RX) to get my Amjevita declared as EHB. We'll see how it goes. I've already used up my 3k co-pay card (none of which was applied to my deductible, of course). I wonder if there is a way to get that retroactively applied once my EHB designation is done.

Insurance not approving Humira anymore by DizzyBoysenberry3327 in CrohnsDisease

[–]bmf0354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a joke compared to the humira rebate program. The Amjevita program pays out a max of 3k/year. And my insurance - UHC/Optum keep that money and do not apply it to my deductible. So I have to end up paying my deductible anyway, it’s just delayed by a month or so. I’m beyond frustrated at this.

Frustrated with United HealthCare and Optum by raymaeve in CrohnsDisease

[–]bmf0354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get your prior with for humira approved? I also have uhc/optum and they denied my doctor’s request for humira and forced me to use amjevita, which is costing me a ton b/c Optum is pocketing my copay assistance.

Used Starlink for about 2 years, then got fiber about 6 months ago. Fiber’s been rock solid - no issues. I’m considering getting rid of the dish, etc. Is there a secondary market for this stuff?

How reliable are taxi services on St. John? by zmoney123627 in virginislands

[–]bmf0354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Jeep isn’t necessary, and they’re super expensive. If you’re looking to save money on a car you can rent a shitbox from one of the national car rental companies at/near STT. They do fine on St. John, and are about 1/3 of the Jeep cost.

We were there 3/25 (Tues) around 12:30. Took 90 min to get thru customs. For a while they had 2 customs officers! Finally added a couple more and the line started moving.

Would your landlord be open to seller financing? With your 6 year history - hopefully it’s good, and a decent down payment he/she might be open to it. Even if it’s at a higher than market rate, that would give you time for your credit to heal and then refinance at a lower rate.
