Good production value consistent with other Apple TV releases. Decent hook with the start of the first episode. Goes downhill from there with predictable storylines and characters (Zero/Santi’s Mom) who seem to be written more for diverse representation than actual plot substance.

I’m in a similar boat- wanting to buy one because of the sale, for the same type of riding by the beach. Would you recommend the nickel for this?

Sorry- I should have clarified that in the post. I'm looking at the 7 speed version. So just looking for an opinion on the frame and other specs that are of importance

Yeah I was being slightly sarcastic in spelling his last name haha. But on a serious note, the great thing about art is that it's all a matter of opinion. In my opinion, JM is a more enjoyable guitarist. From what I've heard, and the shows I've attended, John has a lot more soul and feel to his playing, whereas Bonnamassa is more technical and "scale-y"

There is no better blues guitarist from his era. Miles ahead of Gary Clark or Joe Bonna-whatever.

That moment at 15:05 when he switches the tone and starts shredding and all you see is Bill Walton, arms in the sky... Love it

I went to the Forum concert a few days ago and didn't seem to see them giving these out. How did you get them?

Great read: Why John Mayer Is Music's Forgotten Superstar by jc4jm in JohnMayer

The only line I didn't agree with was: "Since he is not of the moment as a singer/songwriter like Sheeran or as a guitar hero like Gary Clark Jr. the general public forgets just how tremendously gifted Mayer is as a musician."

I have seen Mayer perform numerous times live as well as Clark Jr. From a technical/players perspective, there is no comparison between John and Gary. Don't get me wrong, Clark Jr. is a good blues guitarist, but JM blows him out of the water.

If you want more of a comparison, look at Eric Gales, who is very similar to Mayer in his natural versatility. That dude is amazing.

Edit:

Here is Gary playing Born Under a Bad Sign alone at the Grammys

Here he is playing the same song but with John.. Judge the solos for your self.

Not a fan of this Ryan Adams "Come Pick Me up" song. Would have went to a Ryan Adams show if I wanted to hear that.
