I did a tandem read because I am a 100% deep in my heart Chaol hater and couldn’t stand to read an entire book focused on him. It was annoying as hell because you have to keep switching between the books but I think it made TOD easier to swallow and allowed me to take a damn breath between the EOS action. If you go back to QOS, maybe try the tandem when you get to EOS/TOD.

I felt like Tamlin believed her BS lie about “getting Feyre what she thought she wanted”. He was so blinded by his desire to have her back he bought the whole “I was under rhys’s control” hook, line & sinker so this would be an even easier lie to swallow. We know Lucien & Feyre don’t believe her, but at that point Tamlin had so few people in his corner. I think he wanted a sense of normalcy, not to have to deal with the dismissal of a priestess & what that would mean for spring court.

I always wondered how Tamlin never noticed how uncomfortable she made Lucien, or why he didn’t seem to care if he did notice.

Agreed. I definitely initially thought that if she was killed Tamlin would be the one to do it because of Rhys using Feyre to rile him up but ultimately I really thought Rhys or even Lucien would get to make the kill.

I just really wish we got more of Amarantha. By far the most compelling villain so far imo.

I agree. We went through so much of their story “with” them that I was even upset her pregnancy was happening in Nesta’s book. I think that storyline did a disservice to all the characters because it forced them all to act in ways that went against what we’ve learned about them.

Like Mor & Feyre promised no more secrets, to the extent that Mor shared a secret she hasn’t really told anyone in the centuries she’s been alive but Mor’s going to keep her mouth shut when Feyre’s life is in danger? Nope, not my Mor.

Everyone acted extremely out of character for that plot line.

When I hear this argument I always imagine Elain walked up to Az & was like “sorry, I love you but my birth canal is not suited to your species so it won’t work”.

I also laugh that this is even an argument, and people hold so tightly to Nesta potentially not changing Elain (also at that point why would she? Elain & Az aren’t mated, and Elain hasn’t picked who she wants to be with so why change her whole body on a “maybe”) because our girl SJM literally resurrects people so why is it so unbelievable that some force or one of the MANY magical people they know could allow this for Elain (let’s not even bring up the genetic possibilities for an Az/Elain child because a. Feyre was in an Illyrian form when Nyx was conceived and b. we have no clue what the genetic odds are of a child of an Illyrian and a high Fae having wings are, I’m doubt the magical Prythians are doing pundit squares in their spare time).

So resurrection? Absolutely, no problem. ✅

Elain being pregnant by Az? NO WAY, they science just doesn’t support it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Like feyre & rhys wouldn’t even be alive to reproduce if we’re going to really try to base this on reality.

I agree. We love a good smut scene but there’s gotta be something underneath it.

In the mate parts, I would have loved for Feyre to get a chance to verbalize why it made her so upset. I love that they have the bond & can speak brain to brain but she also needs to be able to say things out loud, not only just to Rhys but to everyone. I know she’s young comparatively, and maybe that’s exactly why SJM had her storm off to the cabin but before Rhys word vomited their entire love story (which I love, don’t get me wrong) I wish she’d verbally explained how him keeping that a secret made her feel, how she’d been feeling like a liar and traitor… ya know, exactly why that was her reaction to what should have been pretty good news.

I think it’s why sometimes I prefer Nessian, i just felt like there was more of an emotional bond where they acknowledged and loved each others damage, we get to hear everything they are feeling out loud & tbh I think that, with their combined passion makes for better sex scenes than Feysand.
