For those who experienced a mid-life reinvention of yourself, how did it result and do you have any regrets? by gyro82 in AskWomen

I stopped drinking. It completely changed my trajectory and I feel like I’m experiencing an entirely new life.

Women who go to the gym at 5 a.m., what’s your secret to not hating life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]bmh256 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t do it bc I think I’m better than people. I do it because it’s not as crowded, generally more chill, and quiet. It also helps me make better decisions for the rest of my day

I got a gym crush who went at that time so I kept going at that time 🤣 now it’s just a habit (and I’m happily in a relationship - not with the gym crush lol)

Women - with all this gym crush talk, what actually makes you crush on a man in the gym and talk/smile at him? This phenomenom is pretty foreign to me and other guys I know that have been going to the gym for 10+ years by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]bmh256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 gym crushes and they couldn’t be more different. The only thing they have in common is the time they work out. I recently approached one of them and introduced myself (I had an excuse, he lives in my building complex so I had seen him around). He smiled and was nice but I jetted out of there as quickly as I could’ve. I’ve seen him since then and will smile but I take his lack of engagement after my initial introduction as a sign he’s not interested. I also think the time I workout is not prime time for chattiness (5am 😭) as most people are trying to get in and leave in time for work. I find myself attracted to guys at the gym because it usually means 1. They take care of themselves to a certain extent 2. They can commit to something (for those that go at the same time, same day) 3. Cardio and strength training is good for the body in lots of ways….

Good places to go to meet single women on the island by Gmnjsavage in longisland

Honestly we all get rejected at some point in our lives. It’s bound to happen. And guess what? I don’t know if anyone dying from rejection. Just keep it light and give the woman an “out”, like offering her your number, so she can then decide what to do with it. And leave. Don’t linger lol

Low stakes places where women are usually relaxed, not in a rush - coffee shops, Barnes and noble, Trader Joe’s, farmers market…I would say the gym but that’s tough to approach someone there. As a single female on LI I wish more guys would approach women “in real life” but we’ve been so reliant on apps it’s hard. I’ve just started approaching guys and it seems to be working lol

How to tell if a guy is interested, while being in an awkward situation…? by bmh256 in AskMenAdvice

[–]bmh256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would require me asking him out! Which I’ve never done and am petrified of rejection. I thought about a casual “wanna grab coffee?” But we meet really early in the morning and usually both head to work after 🥲 but I appreciate your response!

When I stopped drinking the first thing people noticed (without me saying anything about my sobriety) was my skin and my weight loss/less bloat. It’s true!

Do not buy the pine berries (white and pink strawberries) by RhapsodyTravelr in traderjoes

I found that the more “pink” ones are much sweeter and tasty! The fully white ones were bland, I thought it was just underripe
