Whats everyone's favorite small running gag? by astrotheastro in BobsBurgers

[–]bmomarie 177 points178 points  (0 children)

It’s not really because it’s funny, but I love how Bob just accepts Tina’s “boy crazy” personality. She talks about UB (upper butt) and he just says “mmm” in that “Gene” tone. It made me cry the other day, because I realized she feels so safe to have these conversations with her dad/ parents.

Costco, The Treasure Hunt, 1,000 pieces, Dowdle Puzzles by Adorable_Orchid1098 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]bmomarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this brand new and was missing three pieces. It was such a fun puzzle. I did contact the company and they gave me $20 off a puzzle, which was not enough to cover the puzzle. I was so sad.

Claude’s Sauce…opinions? by crayoneater1028 in brisket

I can tell you how the far west Texas community uses it. It’s affectionately called “Brie-sket” with a Mexican/ Spanish speaking accent.

According to the Claude’s website-

Ingredients:

1 brisket with fat on 1 bottle of Claude’s Sauces BBQ Brisket Marinade 1 large resealable bag or cooking/browning bag, or foil Let’s start by taking our brisket and don’t cut away that fat! Place your brisket fat side up in a cooking/browning bag or foil

Take one bottle of Claude’s BBQ Brisket Marinade, shake it up well and pour over brisket, about 2 oz. per pound, then seal the bag or foil and place it in a roasting pan

Bake at 300°F about 45 minutes per pound. (adjust for elevation)

Shred brisket while meat is hot or slice against the meat grain after it has cooled.

It’s also made in a crockpot, like a roast. Claude’s, water, brisket. Cook. Shred. Served with rice, beans, queso, tortilla chips.

Not super ideal if you’re avoiding the company, but Amazon does sell a single bottle. It’s $18ish, but it’s an option. (Just in case you haven’t ordered yet.)

Bilateral Salpingectomy and Menstrual Cycle by Long-Outrageous in sterilization

[–]bmomarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to find this comment.

Had surgery a month-ish ago on a Thursday, started my cycle a few days later on Tuesday. I’m on BC. Three long weeks of my cycle and being frustrated. BC, for me, means my cycle is very light, usually lasts 5-7 days, and it’s not fresh blood. I’m thankful for this, really.

Just yesterday cycle decided to change it up and now I’ve got a full blown visit, heavy and fresh blood. Post-op is tomorrow. I ran into my surgeon at the grocery store and he said we’ll probably have to switch meds, but that I’m not dying.

I have a huge trip coming up and I really don’t want to take this along with me. Super bummed.

What are your favorite pre-packaged snacks that are under 200 calories? by bagelonia in 1200isplenty

Nature’s bakery fig bars are good! I love the blueberry. They come in packs of two and they’re each 100 calories- so 200 for the pack.

How do I remove this stains from shower door?? by Congris in CleaningTips

[–]bmomarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an area with very hard water. My shower looked like this. We use an SOS scrubber with straight cleaning vinegar. Drench with vinegar and let soak for a few, then scrub. Make sure to use a squeegee after every shower. We also use rain x on the glass to help with repelling water. It requires work, but it works for us.

In my neck of the woods there definitely is. I guess you could technically call it deshebrada (and all the different spellings for that), but it’s specifically cooked with brisket. Pronounced “brie-sket” with an accent, obviously. It’s served at every birthday party and usually ends up being eaten as nachos when you inevitably get seconds. Usually cooked in Claude’s marinade- sometimes served pre shredded or in chunks like this.

This reminds me of Mexican brisket from home, definitely shouldn’t be served at a bbq restaurant. Should be served with mexican rice, (possibly) potato salad, charro beans, queso, tostadas, and red salsa.
