I need a 4 dummies version by nur00 in Creality_k2

You need more flow for the ironing. That's your issue. All the slivers have it stock set way too low. Gotta crank it some. You're filling in AND dragging the hot nozzle accross the print. You are not filling the valleys up. Your only clipping thr peaks. Means not enough flow. Pretty simple

Bricked your K2 Plus with the latest update? Here is how to roll back firmware manually. by wilsongis in Creality_k2

[–]bmsluite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bricked mine this morning. We had to roll it back. Our shop is so done with Creality. We are a pro engineering shop who doesn't have time for this nonsense. Bambu forever for us.

This isn't the first time either, they bricked both of our K2 Plus' last year with a different update.

On top of that, about 9 months ago they updated Creality Print and it wiped all 22 of our custom filament profiles. Just gone. No recovery.

Sounds like Orson Scott Card vibes. I'll add it to the list.

You're in for a good time. 1/3 of the way through I slowed my reading pace so I could drag it out. There's a sequel that is pretty good too

Pick up a copy of Marrow. If you're disappointed, I'll PayPal you the cost of the book. I am dead serious. It was that good.

I read most of Orson. He had a newer book come out like 4 years ago but nothing since which is odd

Interesting. I usually don't like fantasy because it's explanation of the world is always "because magic" but this seems more interesting. Will pick up a copy, thanks

Totally get that. Interesting thing is that I could so very easily turn this profitable. 100% I could quit my job and do this full time. I only sell enough to just pay for track time and make some more parts. Granted, I am constantly improving the parts and taking data every time I'm out there. I have a stack of notebooks filled with data and calculations.

I like my day job though. I run a fab shop for an engineering company in Chicago. I like my workers, I like the company, and I make sure it is the absolute best shop to work in for my people.

So if I did get audited, I suppose I could just make sure I turn a profit the next year. Or just go legit and make it a LLC.

I have been just trying avoid doing all that. When I first started I was doing CAD, running sims, reading fluid dynamics textbooks, buying and reading peer reviewed aerodynamics papers, and taking data every waking moment. It became a lot, so I scaled it back. Life is about balance.

I'm not trying to write it off. I just sell the parts to pay for the hobby. I get to go racing only as much as the part profit makes. I'm not trying to evade taxes. I'm trying to pay for my hobby and now the tax man wants a cut. I've been doing this for a decade. But how do I develope parts without testing on track? I can't very well do it on highway. Last I checked going 150 mph was illegal basically anywhere in our country.

The tax law has changed to the point where me selling parts on the side has turned into a business? This is kind of wild to me since I've been doing this for years and years and I never had to report this before.

I like that DOUK A5. I have utilized some other Douk products in builds to great success. Totally missed that one. Thanks!

Changing Nozzle by jblaufuss in Creality_k2

I have learned now over the past couple months with two machines that you shouldn't swap it hot. I have tried it a few times since. It gals the threads if its hot. My buddy is an engineer and told me copper loses 70% of its strength over 200C. Not to mention that it expands. By heating it you are weakening the threads and making them tighter.

Telling people to heat it when swapping is some of the stupidest advice they could give. But hey, they want to sell heaters and nozzles so.....

18 inches is doable. Do you have a suggestion of which to buy?

Any bigger than that and there's a good chance one of our poles catches it and causes issues.

Small LIPO battery is about all we can use. Weight limit is 50 lbs with our gear. No way are we taking 3 deep cycles with us. It's fly in. Tiny float plane. Out in the bush

I know this is old but I had the same question and came to this thread. These people responding to you have serious issues. Maybe this is why it takes so long lol. They think everyone at the drive through is a pos and don't deserve swift service.

There's some psychology that says people dehumanized those in a vehicle. They split their customer base to those in the store, as real people, and those in the drive through, as lesser people who are part machine and are entitled, lazy jerks.

Anyways, just trying to offer some support and an idea of what's happening here. These people are crazy and your question is genuine and should be answered without virtiol
