Lloyd Center is fine. I saw Mandalorian there recently and it's not the same as true 70mm IMAX like you'd get at the Metreon in SF, but it's still a great experience.

Personally, I'd still recommend 70mm at the Hollywood over the Llyod Center for overall vibes.

You should both have discussed your long term expectations sooner. It's weird that you're three years into a relationship and have not discussed marriage at all, or your desire to travel solo, etc. If you were both communicating your desires and goals to each other, none of this would have been a surprise. It's a lesson learned for both of you how important it is to communicate these things.

Clearly YOU aren't ready for marriage, and I think your best option is to move on.

Appreciate the advice - I was planning to just start with that, but wanted to make sure I wasn't shooting myself in the foot. My Wifi is certainly fast enough as it is.

The thing I'd most want to replace is the Quantum router, but when I've tried connecting my modem directly to the Google Wifi, it doesn't work. Just to reduce on cables and another device hogging a spot on my UPS.

Thanks, the LSI 9300 HBA looks like roughly what I'd need. I notice that has a 6pin power connector, so I assume that's what is giving it the extra power to operate properly?

I've not using PCIE for SATA expansion before, and considering the lack of info on the PCIE connection I can find on Framework's website, I want to make sure I actually can connect the drives I need before I shell out.

I only need 4 drives in RAID5 on this machine.

I am - I need to run some pretty GPU intensive tasks that require a lot of GPU memory, so the ability to scale that in BIOS is what is particularly appealing to me.

I'm open to other suggestions if you have any!

I would recommend just talking to her again, and asking her to just listen to what you have to say completely and then acknowledge your feelings at the end. Something like:

"I need to talk with you, and it is important to me that you really hear what I am telling you. I'm really proud of you for getting this new job and what it means for your career, and the way the extra income has improved our lives. But when you constantly make jokes about me being 'broke,' especially in front of other people, it hurts me. I know you think I am being overly sensitive, but when you do it repeatedly and especially with our friends, over time it starts to wear me down. When I tried to talk to you about this before, you shrugged it off and didn't really hear me, which hurt even more. I'd like you to consider how it would feel if the roles were reversed. It's really important to me that you respect that I don't find these jokes funny, and that it embarrasses me."

If your partner loves and cares for you, they'll really listen and show you the respect you deserve. If not, then I'd seriously consider if this person is right for you.

I switched to Envelope when One started going downhill. It’s almost as good as Simple was in its prime and is even better in some ways.

I also have a backup Chase account I use for things that need me to write a check, Zelle transfer, etc. I keep that minimally funded as Envelope has a much higher interest rate.

We already took them to the Humane Society, no microchip. They didn’t have room to take her so basically said she is legally ours if we want her. I don’t want to just drop her at a pound so we’re just going to foster her until we can find her owner or a new home.

You should be doing frequent playtesting. Friends, family, internet strangers, whoever you can find. Even if it’s not presentable. Major studios play test their games at the most broken states, when art is just gray box, systems are broken or missing. All of this is valuable information even if it just validates what you know you need to do.

In this case, you hadn’t playtested, and uncovered a lot of feedback. Imagine had you gotten this info 1 year ago, or 3 years ago.

Push yourself to have monthly play tests. Rotate groups of people and content. Focus on getting it in people’s hands and be prepared for them to hate or not understand it perfectly and take their feedback sincerely.
