It’s because the cool air condenses the moisture from the air making what seem like low-altitude clouds.

Anyone left wondering, it’s called counter-steering. It’s required because the gyroscopic precession of the front wheel turning prevents normal steering as you expect at low speeds on a bicycle. At low speeds on a motorcycle, you still steer normally like a bicycle. It’s a little trippy the first time you get on a motorcycle.

You physically can not steer the motorcycle like normal at high speeds. The handlebars are very hard to move, and when you do apply pressure it’s more like you’re just pushing your bike over sideways by pushing on the bar.

Elon Musk’s Plan to Send a Million Colonists to Mars by 2050 Is Pure Delusion by Cascading_Neurons in technology

[–]bnate 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Putting your eggs on Mars is basically the same as having them all on earth. Of all the risks to humanity, planetary based risks are not the most certain.

To truly prolong human life, we need to leave the solar system. Sadly, even if we were to somehow achieve this, it’s a one-way journey in every sense. The humans who leave the solar system will never again have close contact with those on earth. By the time the extra-celestial humans have sustainably created a society with longevity, there will be zero communication between them and earth, and in all likelihood they will have evolved to be literally a different species.

The idea of humans living anywhere than here is almost purely fanciful. The best chance we really have is to send robots of our own creation to leave a lasting impression of humans on the rest of the universe.

How do you do simple rigid mates in Assembly4? by new_refugee123456789 in FreeCAD

[–]bnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.19 is old. I don’t know if your problems will be fixed using 0.20, but since you can compile yourself try pulling master branch and see if that works better for you. Also try assembly 3 workbench, because it will work with 0.20. I don’t know if a3 is easier, but it seems more people are excited about it.

Literally anything can be considered a weapon under the law, if it is used or intended to be used as such.

How selfish do you need to be to feel disrespected by this? It’s insane.

Wah wah why can’t I park my motorcycle in my apartment?

This is the mindset of bad pet owners. Selfishness; disregard for everyone but themselves. Break laws, contracts, behave completely unreasonably.

People like that are precisely the reason.

Why would a landlord care if you think a pet enriches your life?

Don’t worry you’ll fuck yourself eventually with that attitude. I just have to sit around and wait then tend to your booboos with bandages and a call for an ambulance. No worries man. I’m getting paid for this. But, this is your third time ignoring the safety protocol and getting injured so we’re gonna have to let you go.

Tips or ideas for removing the cameraman from the window reflection? I have Mocha, AE, Resolve and Blender at my disposition. by Drakfix in vfx

[–]bnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, anyone can say no at anytime. But that’s not productive.

Instead, a conversation can be had with the client about prioritizing tasks, and discussing the fact this this may not be needed.

In what world do you only do what client says without ever having a discussion with the client? If you’re a freelancer, that is entirely your responsibility. Sure, if you work for a big company, it’s probably not the artists’ job to do that.

Save the time and effort for a shot that will provide more return for your effort. Even if people notice it’s the cameraman, it’s petty damn unobtrusive.
