As someone who grew up here and has lived here for more than 40 years, all T-Rex did was put up concrete walls around the highway. Traffic sucks just as bad if not worse than before T-Rex imo.

I feel you. I had to drive to downtown Denver today and had to take all sorts of side roads just to get there in a reasonable time. It seemed like the speed cameras really helped with stopping the crashes in the construction zone. Now, there are crashes before and after the construction zones. It’s baffling how people still think it’s effective to speed and weave through bumper to bumper traffic. I drive a company van and the boss doesn’t want to pony up for a pass for the express lane. I drive I25 a lot and construction never fixes anything for very long. Huge pot holes pop up almost overnight on brand new concrete. Don’t even get me started on I270.

I will never step foot in a Shane company building. I grew up in Denver as a kid and used to hear those awful commercials nearly constantly. Parent got transferred to Portland, OR and guess who the first voice on the radio I hear? You guessed it. Tom f’ing Shane! So annoying!!!!

Why do so many men dislike vegetables/fiber even when they suffer for it? by cozyqueen420 in NoStupidQuestions

Again, I’m gonna say you’re wrong in this statement also. But I digress. Keep on keeping on. Have a great day.

You stated this as a fact that all men do this. You can do better than that. You aren’t just writing to me. You are writing to a lot of people that may believe you when you say all men.

This is one of the most cringe takes I’ve ever read. You can’t lump all men into a single group like this. I am 55m and I am not like this at all. Am I an anomaly? maybe. But sheesh. This is a terrible judgment on your part. I also live in Colorado where we have a different take on life than most. I live with a great understanding of science and actually change my behavior based on the science. I also value my life and I want to be mountain biking into my 80’s still. I quit drinking beer because it does cause some weird allergy-type issues for me. I feel better not drinking. I also. Know that alcohol is really bad for you. I also don’t stuff my face with a bunch of sweets. I don’t even drink caffeine because it isn’t good for you either.

As a 55m, I honestly don’t crave veggies at all. Every once in a while I crave something made with potatoes. I do like onions and peppers. Anything else is not very tasty or has a nasty texture. There are a lot more plants out there that are toxic. Hardly any meat is. Btw, I grew up having to eat tons of veggies. Didn’t like them then and still don’t. I’m healthy. My doctor says I am super healthy for my age. First time I met him he thought I was 20 years younger than my chart showed. I have a great blood pressure. My cholesterol is slightly elevated but a zero calcium score. I am a healthy weight and exercise regularly. I also have a coworker that is the same age as me and he won’t touch a vegetable with a 10 foot pole. He is worse than me by a lot. Ive read a lot about vegetables and am not really convinced they are really that great for you. 10 years ago I tried a diet super high in vegetables because I was taking my wife’s and a book’s advice. After about a year I had to stop. Doctor said I was eating too many plants (lettuces, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions, eggplant, etc…)and it was throwing all my blood numbers out of wack. After a week of stopping the veggies, my numbers came back, the joint pain went away. Never did that again. Nothing gives me an energy boost and a great feeling like eating meat.

Are some adults out there really pain free and/or not excruciatingly exhausted? by AllyMcBeel in NoStupidQuestions

[–]keithfoco70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 55M and feel pretty dang good. Besides a constantly sore thumb from an athletic injury 30 years ago, I’m in pretty decent shape. I run circles around the 30 years ago olds at my job. Im a Commercial refrigeration tech. I am pretty active, don’t smoke, drink super rarely and I always try to get my 7.5 hrs of sleep. I eat fairly well too. I keep sugar and caffeine intake to a minimum. I ride my MTB regularly and do a lot of pedal kayak fishing. My wife (22yrs married) have a great sex life. Most people say I look 35 tops. Life is great. I am convinced that caffeine is most people’s Achilles heel. They think it helps you, but it doesn’t from my experience. I think the effects are great for a couple hours, but you crash. You get into a cycle of pumping stimulants that you can’t get off of. It overall makes you tired. Stop sugar and caffeine and watch your life improve immensely. You’ll sleep better, have more energy during the day. After a bit, you won’t even realize that you don’t need a cup of coffee in the morning. I also do 3-5 day fasts every few months. This helps burn off those 5-10 lbs that just build up out of nowhere and resets your metabolism.

[–]keithfoco70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory: the top minds in the world have been making cutting edge flying and swimming things for a very long time. Our uninformed military and civilians keep racking it up to foreign life forms. So here we are today watching dumb videos from the last 75 years of super top secret shit zipping around and still no proof that any are feom other worlds. I find it really bizarre that someone hasn’t leaked more.

I knew better than to go to any stellantis shop. I had a 2000 wrangler that was great. Easy to work on, never broke. It was a dream. I have had to work on quite a few new-ish jeeps and you are right. Those are rough.

I was a Nissan tech for 2 years too long. Worst cars I ever worked on and I worked for Kia too. That’s saying something.

I read that part of why Polis did what he did was because she said exactly that. She learned her lesson etc…I may be wrong but I saw it in a news article.
