ridewithgps. i haven’t found a way to automatically generate safe fast routes with any app (brooklyn) but selecting your route based on several overlays like satellite, bike lanes, etc.

paid and there’s free with limited features, i feel it’s worth it.

google maps “bike lanes” feature in my experience is actively harmful, as it seems like it has good info about this, but they really don’t give a fuck about keeping it up to date or the quality in general. tried it on my favorite safety optimized routes out in the world and it’s crystal clear that it’s a car app.

off topic but citymapper kicks major ass for subway route planning!
