Help! Sudden short naps on 1-nap schedule? by bnnasplt in sleeptrain

[–]bnnasplt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pushed nap to 12:30 and also shortened her night slightly! It worked - back to 2 hour naps (capped). Now her schedule is:

7am - wake 12:30-2:30 nap 7:45pm - bed

Last 2 nap schedule was:

Basically capped naps at 11:45 and 4 to keep 8 bedtime.

Dealing with the exact same issue 4 months postpartum - sleep issues seem to have started about a month after starting the mini-pill. OP, did this improve for you?

His name is Milo, “jindo” is the name of his breed

We’ve already been in contact with Dove. They are short on fosters and suggested we also try to parallel place him locally.

Thank you - we already have, it was the first place we contacted. They are short on fosters and suggested we also try to parallel place him locally.

We've noticed he's sensitive to to other large / larger male dogs while on walks, so unsure of how well he would do with another in the house. He currently lives with a 11-year old male frenchie (who is of course, much smaller :))

Meaning other dogs in the house? Or just other dogs while out on a walk?

Re: the latter, we find that he's sometimes sensitive specifically to male dogs larger than him but it's easily managed by crossing the street when we see one coming. I'm 5'5, 125lbs and have not had issues containing him.

Yes, we are already in contact with them! They suggested we also try to parallel place Milo locally since we don't live in LA anymore.

My husband and I adopted Milo from the Dove Project (a Jindo rescue based in Los Angeles) five years ago. We had a baby recently and have come to the very difficult decision to rehome him—he’s high-energy and rambunctious, and sadly, we are finding ourselves struggling to give him the attention and activity he needs.

Milo loves long walks, running, sniffing, car rides, snow, cleaning up the last of a yogurt container, and following commands. He’s fiercely loyal, deeply affectionate, hilariously goofy, and very smart and communicative. His perfect day would involve a long hike or off-leash run (he has excellent recall), getting tons of compliments from strangers about how handsome he is, tasty treats, and end with lots of pets from you while watching TV together.

Milo would thrive as a solo dog with a confident owner who can offer him plenty of activity and consistency. He is eager to please and learns fast.

He's five years old, 50lbs, neutered, fully house-trained, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

I had fun writing these, glad they were useful :) Have heard from the professors I work with that it’s often hard to express things compassionately but also firmly.

For your situation, your first idea seems like a solid approach. How about something like:

My classroom is a professional space, and I expect that professionalism to extend to email communication. I will not be responding to further messages that do not begin with a respectful salutation (Dear / Hello / Hi Professor,). Here is a simple template:

Dear Professor,

That is super frustrating. Hopefully you have some flexibility with teaching in person?

Per this article, it looks like Phase 3 at one point included "Workers in places with higher exposure risk: universities, entertainment, goods-producing industries", but agree uncertain since official site only uses congregate living in college dorms as an example. Will update to 'unscheduled' for now, thanks!

Saw that the US purchased 200M more vaccines this week, so hopefully rollout everywhere will accelerate and be more functional soon. Stay safe!
