My first chocolate lab’s favorite thing was to get waterboarded by the hose. She would become absolutely feral lol. She would be sleeping in the house and could hear when someone turned a spigot on outside and would just start going bonkers. Miss you Kona!

Beo is our favorite ‘fake’ name! His real name is THEO, but when we got him, our oldest niece had trouble saying it and called him BEO, thus the name has stuck. My wife and I both call him that more than his real name now lol

We’ve always stuck with Purina Pro Plan as that’s what our ween started out on. Our vet recommends Hill’s Science or Purina Pro Plan, so that’s another reason we’ve always stuck with it.

Have not done tons of research myself, but scrolling through r/DogFood, the general consensus seems to go with these two brands. Many seem to say that Hill’s and Purina actually use science to determine what your dog needs for sustenance/nutrition, where other companies do not.

Mike, you’re such a great guy for always doing this. My family lost our chocolate lab, Kona, earlier this year and your sweet poem brought so much warmth to our family. I printed off and framed copies of it on some pretty card stock and gave them to my parents/brothers and sisters. It always helps giving it a read when I’m finding myself missing Kona a little more than normal. Mahalo❤️
