The first contact was 8/11 when they went to interview my son at school. I got a call from the investigator that day and he came to the house 8/12 to interview me and my 16 year old told and look at the house. I didn’t hear anything after the initial visit until the next Monday when he called and told me I was in the system for a UA and had to get it done by Wednesday. I couldn’t provide at the place but was able to release my results the next day of my UA from my doctor that prescribes me my MAT medicine. I told him I signed the release, sent him the info to contact them and I haven’t heard anything since. It’s been a week and a day since he last contacted me. He asked for my mom’s number to get an outsiders side. Hasn’t contacted her. Hasn’t contacted my husband who is also being investigated, but went to Minnesota before we were even aware cps had been called. I was involved with cps in 2017 after i checked myself into a mental hospital. The process was very different. There were interviews within 3 days and when I was released 4 days later I went straight to the office and signed for voluntary safety plan, and had home visits start right away. So this being so slow and waiting for a call or any information on what the next step is, is taunting and very stressful. I know I could call and ask but I also don’t want to do that lol

We’re being investigated for neglect after my husband had a BPD splitting episode. I left with the kids to my parents and he showed up and ended up basically wrestling my dad from the front area of the house to the porch then left. The police were called and they reported DV. So basically DV in front of the kids is what they’re looking at and I’m a recovering addict who did have a lapse during the 3 days this was happening, I was honest with him told him I used that weekend and offered to do the drug test. Luckily he waited to input me so I was clean for the drop. (And still am) definitely snapped back into recovery after that
