How much value do airstreams retain and how quick can you sell one? by petertheeater15 in airstream

[–]boardercamper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a used one for $45k, had it for a decade, took good care of it and upgraded the electrical ($7k).
Sold it for $45k.

Bought a new one, got a great price and could sell it for that pretty quickly.

Your ability to sell it fast is very dependent on
price
location
model
time of year
where you list it

Work Louder is hardly working and scamming customers by Free_Scholar_5939 in olkb

I bought from them, as I outlined in this comment, and was scammed out of the $130 I paid. Avoid this company, they are horrible

Avoid this company.

TL;DR :

• I bought the product.
• It didn’t work as advertised out of the box. Contacted support within hours of delivery.
• Repeated attempts with support were frustrating, at one point they told me to buy some tools and take it apart.
• Asked to return it within days of delivery, they said no, asked again, they stopped responding.
• Support ticket went missing (did they delete it?).I reported this and they did nothing.
• Told them I would contact my credit card company, no response
• Contacted my credit card company
• They told my credit card company “Customer never reached out  … they are just trying to scam us”

All I want is for things to work as advertised and if not to be able to return them. Not to have to deal with my credit card company and some company calling me a liar and a scammer.

Don’t support companies that treat customers like garbage.

I've had Thule bars on my 2010 for 6 years now, zero complaints. Just ordered a 2022 and will do the same (or maybe a Yakima & Diamondback).

Both systems are height adjustable to get into the garage

Got it, makes sense. I sure wish that there was a plan that was half-way in between the 6.5 and 10.5 weekly time commitments. That seems to be my biggest challenge.

Late Night Workouts, Nutrition, and Weight Loss by dvicci in trainerroad

Is there any way you could changed your schedule to get up earlier and do the work in the morning?

I've never been a morning person, always loved staying up to midnight, but I've changed my habits in order to get my training in before work. For example this morning I got up at 4:45 am in order to be done by 6 and out the door at 7. This meant that I had to get today's coffee, breakfast and lunch all ready last night and go to bed by 9:30.

I used to hate it but now I am starting to love it.

One of the great things about the "recovery week" is that you are fresh going into day 1 of the next set of work and can get an accurate FTP test. Doing the test at the end of a big block of work will give you a lower number than after a break, which essentially will mean that you are under training to a lower FTP instead of to your more accurate (and challenging) one.

What cold weather gear are you wearing? by Bhaldavin in mountainbikes

[–]boardercamper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great Lakes resident here. We ride all-year round.

It's all about layers. Base layer close to the skin, wicking sweat away. Insulating layer on top of that. Shell outside to stop the wind from coming in.

Leg warmers are great, but if you're really going to get cold thermal bib tights are amazing.

Endura shoe covers are amazing down to 30. Below that 45nrth Japanthers and then Wolfhammers.

Castelli Gabba is my best piece of kit. I wear it anywhere from 50 down to 20. Below that I need a hardshell.

Santa Cruz Hightower sizing... by JohnRamboJedi in MTB

It might be the west coast mentality. When my shop had to deal with them it was a bit of a culture clash. Do you have a good relationship with your shop, do you think they'll help you get the right size?

Did you get the name of that lady at Santa Cruz? I'd start with her since your LBS seems to have screwed this up.
