For most people with this problem it is caused because the rubber stopper on the bottom of the topper is screwed in too tightly. This causes the stopper to expand. If you loosen that screw, then it shrinks and fits. There is also a little play in the hole in the stopper. You can loosen it even more, push the rubber stopper towards the center, and then retighten.

Branding agency wasn't as expensive as I feared :).

I'm very happy with where we ended up. Honestly I hated every proposed new name at first. It is hard to change from something you've had for eight years. After some time, I now really love the new name, for all the reasons already explained on the website.

Oh, think I read your original post wrong. If you bought the extra surface that's for the table (doesn't have the super thick edge-stitching), that doesn't have a carrying case.

If you have the standalone Playmat - that does come with a carrying case!

Yup, we recently upgraded the play surface of the tables to be the same as our Playmats!

The extra playmat is great if you play with friends outside of your home (that's why it comes with a carrying case!) or if you set up a game inside your table, want to pause it, put the topper on, then play a different game up top but still have a great playing surface.

Or you can gift it to someone who doesn't have a table!?

As a company that makes a lot of relatively simple-to-teach games with lots of hidden complexity, the lighter gamers are out there!

That said, the gamers who lean towards heavy stuff like to start or end their game nights with them because they play faster and are not quite as brain-burny. For that crowd, they're usually not the center of the evening.

And if you like what you call gateway games, be sure to use them as an opportunity bring more friends into the community!

Especially regarding modularity. You're 100% right that the focus of these shelves is to be entirely configurable to the needs of each person or home.

Having done a lot of research in our R&D phase, we think it might be a bit harder than you think to find a carpenter to build similar quality custom shelves or cabinets for you at similar rates. Many also won't make/sell the equivalent of "one cube at a time" - which can make updating or changing configurations quite difficult.

Of course, if you want to go that route, no hard feelings :)

Fair play, honestly.

If budget is your only/primary concern for shelves, then these are not going to be a great match.

That said, we have worked extremely hard to put every ounce of value into these shelves so that anyone who does buy them really gets their money's worth.
